THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING, PART SIX: WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!
No, I'm not just trying to be provocative or politically incorrect here in sharing this sixth installment of The Truth About Everything: "We are not all the same." I do understand, though, that people may find this truth and this particular blog post offensive at first blush. But hear me out.
Of course, in our society, we are all (at least technically) equal under the law, and equally entitled to our "inalienable rights" to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." And more deeply, everyone on Earth is part of the great oneness of All That Is, and all living beings are worthy of unconditional love, as set forth in Truth #2. None are abandoned by Source. Ever.
However... a main cause of many personal and social conflicts, even of wars, is that we do not recognize that we are also different from each other in some very significant ways, and I am not referring to customs or languages, but something essentially much deeper.
For several years in the 1990s, I struggled with a riddle as a therapist. Why would some patients I worked with in therapy progress further and more rapidly than others when their overall character structure, relative backgrounds, childhood experiences and genuine commitment to their process was pretty much the same, and my approach and commitment as their therapist was a constant? What was the "X factor" in my clients' progressions through their self-work? Why did some seem to have different "ceilings" or thresholds as to how far they were able to raise their consciousnesses?
At a certain point in my pondering, I began drawing the conclusion that it must be a soul/energy issue. In other words, it seemed to me that some human beings incarnated with more of their Higher Self consciousness in tow, so to speak. I thought, perhaps in the same way that we devote different amounts of energy to different areas of our lives - work, love, child-rearing, leisure - maybe our Higher Selves invest different amounts of energy into different lifetimes. This idea seemed to work, seemed to make sense, but yet I didn't feel quite settled with it.
Then, not shortly after I considered the above idea, I came across a book called, "Upcoming Changes," by Joya Pope. The book was interesting enough until I got to the chapters on "Soul Ages." As I eagerly read that material, the proverbial lightbulb went off big time. Click. Click. Click. Yes. Yes. Yes. Now, it made sense.
The information Pope channeled basically laid out systematically and eloquently how just as human beings go through a physical developmental process, so too do our spiritual selves go through a process of growth and evolution. In other words, just as we grow from babies to adults physically over the course of one lifetime, our souls also evolve over many lifetimes through stages similar to infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and elder. Her descriptions of the various soul ages were so spot on, and the implications so profound, that they dramatically effected my understanding of people, and of our world, not to mention shifting the way I worked and thought as a therapist.
Here's Joya Pope on Soul Ages:
"On each physical plane, existence changes and deepens the essence's point of view. This involves going through developmental levels - Infant, Baby, Young, Mature, and Old Soul. This is an extraordinarily long 'game' we are talking about, at least from the earthly perspective. Soul age refers to how a person has grown from experience on the planet, not just to how many lifetimes he or she has lived. No person, essence or entity is "ahead" or "behind" any other, but is simply occupying another place in the continuous circle leading to and from the Tao. Ways of being are supposed to be different in different developmental stages; at some point we experience it all, moving continually along to different levels of understanding and responsibility."
Wow! So, just as there are physical babies, there are baby souls. Just as there are physical adults, there are adult souls. Etc. Etc. And just as it would be irrational to expect a physical baby to be able to feed and shelter itself, or to drive a car or have sex, it is equally irrational to expect a baby soul, even in an adult physical body, to attain higher states of consciousness much beyond the accomplishments of reflex and survival. Baby souls, in other words, generally live simple lives, with simplistic beliefs, focused on getting their basic needs met, very often by seeking others to manage the provision of those needs.
Here's Joya Pope on one aspect of baby souls:
"Structure helps Baby Souls to feel comfortable in the world. They want to be directed and therefore seek out higher authorities who are willing to lay out clear rules for them. As a small example of this, they would rarely defend their child to the school principal, but push to make the child act acceptably to the teachers and administration. Sometimes a Baby Soul will seek out - even again and again - discipline from the prison system as a way to civilize himself. This soul age will hold traditional religious leaders in esteem, turn doctors into gods, and likely feel their country, their army, and certain politicians, can do no wrong."
[Not to be political here, but obviously, the so-called "Conservative Movement" in our society could perhaps more accurately be called the "Baby Soul Society." Sorry, I couldn't resist.]
The personal and social ramifications of this understanding, or the lack of it, are tremendous.
If you are a mature soul and you mistakenly assume that your young soul boyfriend is also a mature soul, you will conclude in frustration that his self-centered egotism is a deliberate assault on your integrity, rather than a measure of his "immaturity" at the soul level. Instead of accepting who he is, and moving on to a relationship with someone who is on your level, you will stay and fight, futilely, to try and get him to be someone he is not yet ready to be.
Likewise, if a predominantly mature soul country, like the United States (believe it or not), assumes that baby soul countries, like Iraq or Afghanistan, are maturational equals (in spite of the fact that they require women to hide their faces, still publicly stone people to death for adultery and commit suicide in hopes that there will be virgins in Heaven for them to have sex with), then we will uselessly bomb them into oblivion instead of helping them feel more secure and less threatened in the world, while simultaneously setting appropriate boundaries and restrictions (disarming them) on what they are allowed to do within the human community. (And remember, it is in the mistaken belief that they could be equal partners that we sold them many of their weapons in the first place.)
Now, like all of these Truths About Everything, one's first reaction to this one might be that the information presented here is not only radical, but potentially inflammatory. But would be a misunderstanding. As Shakespeare said: "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players." In other words, if life here in our world is a play, which essentially it is, then each of us, whatever role we play, is an actor whose role at any given time in the play may be of child or adult, villain or hero, leader or follower, but as actors, as souls, again, we are all equally worthy of all that life has to offer.
We don't believe, of course, that a child deserves to be less safe, healthy or happy than an adult does, but we do know that a child is not ready to provide for the common good, yet, nor offer guidance, leadership or wisdom for others, yet, either. They are still learning how to survive and thrive in physical reality and must be taught this by their elders. Children, and young souls, are narcissistic by nature, in other words. Mature and old souls are more altruistic and giving by nature. This is why old souls live lifetimes primarily as teachers in one way or another.
After you read the soul age material, look around you, at everyone, and consider what soul age you are dealing with in each relationship. You will find your perspective and your levels of frustration shifting when you do. And remember, don't give the car keys to a 3-year old!

"PARTNER REPLACEMENT FANTASY?" NOT OFFICIALLY A SYNDROME... YET!
Please, APA... no PRFS! It's bad enough I had to write a post decrying your label, "Foot Orgasm Syndrome," in a recent post.
[NOTE: APA = American Psychiatric Association; PRFS = Partner Replacement Fantasy Syndrome]
Yes, there is an article on this subject. It's in Slate, and it asks the question of whether or not it's "emotional cheating" on a love partner to be fantasizing about somebody else during sex? In a pretty responsible way, the article doesn't take a simplistic yes or no position, nor does the resident expert quoted throughout the piece, David Schnarch, a renowned sex therapist who helps long-term couples work through waning desires. Schnarch says, and I agree with him to this extent, that the only time fantasizing is a "problem" in a relationship is if it regularly takes the place of actual sex with your partner.
True, David, though relevant here is that most people don't know the difference between a fetish and a perversion.
A fetish is a fascination, or "fixation," as Freud called it, with a particular act or object that gets the fetishist aroused, which then leads to a desire for actual sex and orgasm. (See FPL post HERE.)
A perversion, on the other hand, is a fixation that takes the place of actual sex with a partner, or the orgasm experience.
Just a little technical information, folks.
Schnark goes on to talk about why fantasies of others may come into the sex life of loving partners:
“Boredom in the bedroom isn’t a sign that you’re not sexually compatible; it’s a sign that you need to take another growth step that will make the two of you nervous."
Yes to that, David, if by "nervous" you mean in reaction to being open, revealed and excited, as in charged up with Eros! (Read the amazing Pathwork Guide Lecture on "Love, Eros and Sex" HERE)
Great sex, which at the highest levels comes with Eros, makes us nervous, because it blows us out of our limited physical vibration and connects us with higher dimensions of our selves, as high as 9th dimensional consciousness in some cases. That's high!
Here's a quote from another great Pathwork Guide Lecture, "The Spiritual Symbolism and Significance of Sexuality":
"In the human realm the power of sexuality can, in its most ideal form, be the greatest 'representative' of spiritual existence. There is no other human experience that conveys so fully what spiritual bliss, oneness, and timelessness are: the timeless Now, beyond the confines of time."
So, look, folks, and I do mean "look." Don't judge. Just observe, see where you're at. If you use fantasy in a way that enhances your sex life with your partner, then why not? Even better if you can share your fantasy with your partner to heat and stir things up even more. On the other hand, if your fantasy life is a substitute for the real thing, then some self-work in the area of intimacy might be called for.
Finally, you can read the FPL "Truth About Everything, Part One: Sex is the Most Powerful Way to Access Source Energy" HERE.
Oh. And have fun!

TODAY'S MUST READ QUOTE!
"There may be isolated, exceptional cases where one parent offers a sufficient degree of mature love. Even if one parent has it to some measure, very likely the other does not. Since mature love on this earth is only present to a degree, the child will suffer from the shortcomings of even a loving parent."

MORE ON "WHAT'S SO FUNNY ABOUT 5D?!"
This is a very funny adjunct to my FPL piece about the "staycation" we had in Brooklyn last week, and how 5D is 5D, even when at first it looks like 3D. It's also a good follow-up to a piece I wrote a while ago: "WHAT'S SO FUNNY ABOUT 5D?!".
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
TROPICAL VACATION BECOMES A "STAYCATION!" (5D IS 5D...EVEN WHEN IT LOOKS LIKE 3D!)
As talked about and written about previously, if you're reading this, you're in 5D. You've made the dimensional shift to a higher vibration of consciousness along with the entire planet (a first for the Universe!). However, you may be experiencing and witnessing things that seem an awful lot like 3D (i.e. - conflicts, limitations, negativity, etc.), and likewise, you may still feel in the grip of your ego, or bombarded by other people's lower selves.
Well, take heart.
You and the world around you have indeed shifted. And the new 5D operating system is installed. But... during this adjustment period, you will be receiving opportunities to practice the new rules of 5D as outlined HERE.
Here's how it works:
A situation might occur in your current life that in the past would have seemed to thwart the fulfillment of your intentions, deny the validity of your desires, frustrate you, or otherwise cause you to suffer. In the past (3D, in other words), your response to those situations would be to get angry, anxious or despondent, and either try to force an outcome, or hopelessly give up on what you desired. That's what the workings of your lower self in 3D looked like.
Now, however, by applying the new rules of 5D, you can allow your Higher Self direct access through you to handle any situation, to create events differently, and reinvent who you are in any given moment. The "catch" is that you have to truly allow your Higher Self to run the show, understanding that you may not always understand the nuances of how it works, because our physical brain cannot see the big picture, and the outcomes designed by you Higher Self may not look exactly the way your intellect pictured it. Nonetheless, the "new plan" will always be for your greater good than your personality self's original plan. Always!
Case in point...
My partner and I were bound on Friday for a 4-day vacation in the Caribbean. She and I had been looking forward to the experience for several months. All seemed to be going smoothly when we booked the package, well in advance, with a travel agent we'd used before without a hitch. As always, the agent asked us if we wanted to purchase cancellation insurance, so we wouldn't lose any money if we had to cancel the trip for some unforeseen reason. As always, I was about to decline, but for some reason, I said yes, we'd purchase the insurance this time. (That "for some reason" impulse to do something you don't usually do, by the way, is usually a nudge from your Higher Self.)
Shortly after booking, came the first message: there was an infectious virus, carried by mosquitos, that was especially prevalent on the island of St. Martin, which was where we were going. After some research, reflecting and talking to the hotel people there, we decided we would still take the trip, knowing that if we really weren't supposed to go, our Higher Selves would inform us in no uncertain terms.
So, cut to the chase, and cut to Friday morning, through no "fault" of our own, and through a combination of nefarious overbooking and bumping practices at Delta Airlines, and through some actions by what we later realized were "angels" at the airport, our vacation in the Caribbean was cancelled.
But here's the thing, and here's how it works - My partner and I knew this was an opportunity to practice the 5D rules, so while other bumped passengers were screaming and crying in rage and despair, trying to force the issue (unsuccessfully, by the way), we not only stayed calm, but we considered that we weren't supposed to go on that particular trip, and we believed that we didn't need to suffer due to the change of plans.
Well, not only did we get all of our vacation money refunded, thanks to the "unusual" move of getting cancellation insurance, but we additionally received a nice sum of money from Delta as compensation for the inconvenience, which we thought we would use towards a fund for a trip to Italy we'd been hoping to make in the near future. So, four hours later, we were back home from the airport, with more money in hand than we'd left with, and with four days off from work ahead of us.
With a weather report of 70 degrees, we're walking in the park every day, playing tennis, going to our favorite local restaurants, or trying out new recipes at home, and all-in-all, having a lovely vacation where we were meant to be all along.
And as far as those potentially infectious mosquitos...? Only our Higher Selves know for sure.

PMS NO MORE! NOW TO THE CASH!
This is an email I received from someone who really used to suffer from PMS and debilitating cramps and other symptoms every month. She has not only made the shift to 5D, but she has been really doing her self-work on the way. And the work works!
Here's her letter:
"Hi Peter,
I hope you are well! I'm amazed at what I'm capable of doing with my-self when I meditate and shift the ego to "retired mode." Just wanted to let you know that the meditation re my menstrual cycle has kicked in! I'm experiencing it with "grace and ease" (without popping pain killers). I know it's because I'm more in touch with my physical body and truly believe that I'm the sole creator of my health status. Ah, feels so good! I was telling my boyfriend the other day, my life has gotten so much better since I stopped believing in the God above and started believing in the God within me. Life is good!
Thank you so much! I'm off to create some money!"

REPOST: BASEBALL IN 5D?!
OPENING DAY 2014 IS HERE!
Welcome to 5D, baseball!
This is an FPL post from September 2013:
There's an op-ed this morning in the NY Times depicting the decline of baseball as a game of major interest compared to other popular sports in America. In the piece, "IS THE GAME OVER?" by Jonathan Mahler, the author cites several reasons for the low ratings baseball's World Series have received over several years, now, including that the game is "quiet and slow."
"As crazy as it sounds, baseball was once celebrated for its speed, " writes Mahler. "Into the 1910s — before all of the commercial breaks and visits to the mound — it was possible to play a game in under an hour. To the game’s early poets, baseball’s fast pace was what made it distinctly American. Mark Twain called it a symbol of 'the drive and push and rush and struggle of the raging, tearing, booming 19th century!' The 21st century, not so much."
For me, it's exactly that "quiet slowness" I love about baseball, though I would describe the ambiance of the game more poetically as having a "contemplative timelessness."

Hmmm... Could baseball, in 5D, now be turning into a game for Old Souls?
Old Souls typically require a good deal of silence and solitude to nourish their spirit compared to younger souls. And older souls live less in the rigidness of a space-time continuum. Games like football, basketball, soccer, hockey not only engage in non-stop, frenetic action, but those games are also ruled by a clock, with strict time limitations. Not the kind of entertainment Old Souls typically prefer.
Baseball, on the other hand, has many long moments of thoughtful non-activity, and theoretically, a game could go on indefinitely.
This is an excerpt from Joya Pope's timeless piece on "Soul Ages":
"Seeing an Old Soul as a baby is telling, for while the child is still acting the demanding infant or growing baby, another quality may be sensed. Because the soul has done all of this so many times, the child has a peace, ease, and wisdom about it-at least in its quieter moments-that can be sensed by the adults around it."
The need for those "quieter moments" not only continues throughout the lifespan of an Old Soul, but even more solitude and meditative time is desired as the life evolves, even in the context of a full, busy life.
So, what of baseball in 5D? It may no longer be the "National Pastime" it once was in 3D reality, but it may nonetheless continue on as a place for spirits to play, just as they did in "Field of Dreams."
TODAY'S "IN CASE YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT DYING" QUOTE!
“Space and time are simply ‘tools of the mind,” says one Professor Robert Lanza, physicist, who purports that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness. In accordance with the scientist’s work, theoretical physicists also believe there is an infinite number of universes with different variations of people, and situations, taking place simultaneously. Enthusiastic about the truths of his studies, the Professor added that “everything which can possibly happen is occurring at some point across these multiverses and this means death can’t exist in ‘any real sense’ either.”
TODAY'S TOLLE QUOTE!
"All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry, all forms of fear are caused by too much future and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of non-forgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence."
Eckhart Tolle
TODAY'S PAUL SIMON QUOTE!
"Nature gives us shapeless shapes
Clouds and waves and flame
But human expectation
Is that love remains the same
And when it doesn't
We point our fingers
And blame blame blame"

TODAY'S "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO?" QUOTE!
"As you make the shift in consciousness [to 5D] those that are not on your frequency will simply vanish from your life, one way or another. Even though right now you are still in a collective agreement that allows you to experience people who have belief systems that are very different, very incompatible with the frequency you prefer, it will no longer be possible as you shift for you to remain in a reality with people whose vibrations are at such a different level than yours."

"THE HUSTLER" VERSUS "THE COLLABORATOR" - A 5D STORY!
Most FPL readers have seen my post from the beginning of 2013 ("IT'S 2013! WHICH EARTH ARE YOU ON?!") in which I outlined the basic rules now in play in 5D, the dimension that everyone you know on Earth has shifted to.
Rule # 2 states:
"Creating your reality and its experiences from your emotions and your ego is obsolete. Creating your reality from the vibrations of your Higher Self, supported by and in collaboration with the human and universal collective, is the 5D way of living."
Well, someone I am working with, in what she described as a personal "epiphany," recently came to understand and experience how Rule # 2 works.
Here, in her own words is her story:

HUSTLER vs. COLLABORATOR
Hustler?
I’ve always “Labeled” myself as “THE HUSTLER.” From growing up on
suburban Long Island and yearning to get out, to doin dope on the Lower East
Side, to being an addict in recovery, to be a working actress HERE in NYC. As a
matter of fact, just the other day in conversation I shared with another
actor:”...well Im a “HUSTLER” so I have no problem “Making IT Happen.” That’s always been my motto: Im gonna “Make
IT Happen.” Hustle, Hustle, Hustle...Take the action, connect the dots and
“Make IT Happen.”
This “Label,” as Tolle speaks of it, or “Idea” of myself as well as the characters I play has become so ingrained in my identity. An identity that gives me: strength, courage, confidence, hutzpah and charge.....or so I thought....
To be honest, my deepest desire is to “BE” a COLLABORATOR. And so the question is raised: How do I step into “BEING” a COLLABORATOR? Notice the word “BEING” has replaced “THE.” Already there is a shift happening. And as I marinate on this thought/this DESIRE, I arrive at what I call a “CONNECTION EPIPHANY.” I’m well aware of my “HUSTLER” identity and have always worn it proudly until...The “CONNECTION EPIPHANY.” In that moment I realized: If I TRULY DESIRE TO “BE” A COLLABORATOR THEN I MUST LET GO OF “THE HUSTLER.” Then the gates opened so to speak....”THE HUSTLER” has not been serving me, it keeps me separate, pushes people away, is not inviting and in fact is aggressive and warlike (Its ME AGAINST THE WORLD), it’s untrusting, hordish, selfish coming from a place of scarcity, lack, inadequacy and not “BEING” enough. In essence it negates the very thing I deeply DESIRE “BEING” a COLLABORATOR. WOW! So not serving and totally counterproductive. Once the “CONNECTION” was made I started to bring my awareness and acknowledge every time “THE HUSTLER” came up. hhhhhmmmm.....there’s “THE HUSTLER.”

Making a conscious shift into “BEING” a COLLABORATOR I had the
realization that I felt vulnerable, open and exposed....and if I shared
whatever it was that I was sharing I would lose it and it would be taken away
from me....hhhmmmm.....INTERESTING... Now I know, that is FAR FROM THE
TRUTH. However, it was an unconscious
belief that had surfaced for me. Pulling
that thread made me take a look at a challenging professional relationship I
have had. Now, little back story:
Throughout this relationship I was always quick to point the finger. “THIS
PERSON” was NOT “BEING” a COLLABORATOR.
With this new realization, I can see now that I wasn't “BEING” a
COLLABORATOR at the table.
Unconsciously, I was guarded due to fear of being vulnerable and
exposed. With this realization I’m now
able to consciously shift this egoic relationship into one of COLLABORATION.
Why just the other evening when I was at a film festival I shared casually in
conversation, I AM A COLLABORATOR.....hhhhmmmmm......INTERESTING....
These are exciting times we are living in...To Create from the
place of 5D, Oneness, Allowing, Trusting, Not Knowing as a COLLABORATOR;
opposed to 3D, EGO, the same situation over and over the HUSTLER.
I know which line of reality I’m switching to......Do You?
