Are you noticing the incidents of serendipity, coincidence, deja vu increasing? Are certain things just seeming to fall into place in easy or unexpected ways? Have opportunities for money or love made their appearance? Or are you experiencing an upsurge of certain physical and emotional symptoms or conflicts, constrictions in finances or sexual expression, or disturbed sleeping patterns, weight gain and restlessness?
All of the above?
Well... welcome to 5D!
Now, don't misunderstand. The days of good or bad, right or wrong, this or that, etc., are gone. We are now out of dualism, so it's this and that, now, and it's all good. But you've got to get used to the new "operating system" you installed during the last month, the download of energy and information many of you have been preparing to receive by doing several years of determined self-work.
The "new rules" of 5D, outlined in my recent post, "Which Earth are you on?", are now in effect:
- Murphy's Law is officially reversed
- Creating your reality from your emotions and your ego is obsolete
- Time isn't really real
- The past is no longer prologue
The learning process for applying those principles is what we are immersed in right now, but take heart, it will be a short and accelerated education. And while there will be residual resistance to the shift in consciousness, the processes of moving through those resistances will be relatively short-lived, especially if you don't judge the resistance.
Regarding the first new principle - "Murphy's Law is officially reversed" (i.e. - Whatever can go right will go right... if you let it) - you might wonder what would possibly be the resistance to that? Everything going right, going your way, your highest excitement and preferences coming to fruition readily and consistently? Come on, PL. Bring it on!
Well, check it out - the main things we all found exciting about 3D consciousness for thousands of years were the ideas that there were obstacles to overcome, barriers to break through, adversaries to thwart, wars to survive, battles to win, etc. Just look at our movies, TV shows, literature... and our history, as we think of it. The hero's journey was always about battling something or someone, resolving conflict, striving against all odds, resisting oppression.
Well, now, that limitation has been lifted with the rise to 5D consciousness. There is no need any longer to maintain your warrior identity, or to wield your emotional and mental swords and shields that you once believed protected and defined you. You're free. The war is over. But... the acceptance of peace and harmony and prosperity without conflict and strife and stress means letting go of what once constituted excitement, and even moreso, letting go of who you once thought you were.
Indeed, you may wonder what will be the source of excitement in this obstacle-free dimension? Many have been asking this question since the beginning of 2013. What will be the impetus for each day, for awakening in the morning, if there is no battle to win? What will be the challenge?
Take a breath and see if you can get it.
Got it? No?
Well, here it is...
CREATION!
That's right. Creation. That's what will be exciting about every day, creating whatever it is that your soul desires to create through you. Might be a screenplay, might be a meal, might be a painting, might be a love-making experience, might be a sunny day or a parking spot in front of your house. You see, in higher vibrational dimensions, creating is the never-ending expression of All That Is, without the 3D experience of obstacles and barriers. Not that there is anything wrong with obstacles, but been there/done that for a long time. Long time! We're on the other side, now. It's an open field. Really!
So, instead of waking up in the morning and preparing for battle by asking yourself what you have to do (i.e. - overcome) that day to feel accomplished or satisfied or safe, you will simply ask yourself and keep asking yourself: "What do I desire to create now? What do I desire to create now? And now? And now?" And rest assured, you will not be bored, folks.
More to come on the 5D experience. Enjoy your creations!
GRUMPY OLD MEN?! NOT!
There was an article today on the Huffington Post entitled:
"Why the Older You Are, the Happier You Get!"
As a self-actualizing person moves through the years, he or she becomes more open and vibrant in their body than at 20, 30 or 40 years old, belief it or not, and in addition, one gains more wisdom, more confidence, and the growing ability to make decisions with greater ease and less second guessing than when younger. Now, personally, I know that I clearly no longer have a shot at playing shortstop for the Yankees in this lifetime, but this is not a "decline." This is growth, and specifically, growth towards spirit. As we progress in our lives, assuming we are not fighting our process tooth and nail, we are designed to be absorbing more and more of our soul's energy into our bodies, which can mean less and less actual flesh. But the more soul force in your body, the more powerful you become, not the weaker, though your priorities may surely change. Playing shortstop... or having babies, for instance, focusing intensely on the physical, is part of the early phase of experiencing being human. Depths of passion, pleasure, understanding and wisdom is part of the latter phase.
To call these changes in priority a decline is a negative judgment, supported by 3D society and its nefarious medical and pharmaceutical industry.
Secondly, and this is a greatly misunderstood issue - it is not age, but TIME that catches up to us in the second half of a lifetime.
It's not that nature intended for us to fall apart physically and mentally later in life, nor is it that the odds somehow make us more susceptible to the assaults of a capricious universe with the passage of time. It's simply this: after years and years of suppressing feelings and emotions, keeping beliefs and "forbidden" thoughts out of consciousness, directing hostility towards ourselves and accumulating toxins along the way without doing any cleansing work - emotionally, mentally or physically - the body and mind give out, as any matter-bound creation would. As any neglected or abused machine would.
If your eyesight is going, ask yourself how much time you spent not wanting to "see" certain things throughout your life. If you have high blood pressure, take a look at how much anger you've suppressed and how much laughter and great, loving sex you've had by comparison. If your skeletal system is bent out of shape, you've also probably been "bent out of shape" emotionally for decades. On and on. And most destructive of all, when you come to experience these cumulative effects of your self-abuse and neglect, how do you handle it? Therapy? Meditation? Cleansing your body? Or have you relied on drugs, numbing activities, denial and distraction? If your answers are the latter, how absurd that you would then feel victimized by an unfair and random universe when you end up with cancer or Alzheimer's.
I know this is radical in the face of a lifetime of hypnotic suggestions to the contrary, folks, but human beings are designed to improve with age, and life is meant to get better and better with the passage of time. You can find this out. You can heal. You can repair a lot of the damage if you want to, and the rest can just be your unique scars, serving only as reminders of your experiences, not as deterrents to happiness. Laughter, love, pleasure - these are the only "drugs" you really need, the real medicine worth taking.
Enjoy!
"Why the Older You Are, the Happier You Get!"
Here's an excerpt:
"Grumpy old men, and women, are not grumpy whatsoever -- contrary to popular myth. In fact, this truth remains the most contrarian of all research on happiness, and is still the most evidence-based. In a brilliant study published in 2010 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Arthur Stone and colleagues interviewed over 340,000 people in the United States by telephone to ask about how happy they were. What the researchers found surprised them. Levels of stress and anger decline progressively and significantly after people pass through their early 20s."
Here's something I wrote for FPL a while ago about the misconceptions about the aging process, called "DECLINING WITH AGE? NO, WITH TIME!":
Many believe that aging is a declining conveyor belt that we're all on.
The deterioration that we think occurs "naturally" and inevitably with aging is, in fact, an erroneous belief, a negative judgment."Grumpy old men, and women, are not grumpy whatsoever -- contrary to popular myth. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO... AND MORE!
Wow! I did a search on the FPL blog for the piece I wrote last year, entitled "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO...", because so many people are spinning out of the vortices of the lives of those who are transitioning to 4th Dimensional consciousness that I wanted to reread it and repost it. Turns out the page I was taken to had a number of relevant and worthwhile posts on subjects of importance during this time of great change. So, instead of reposting the one article, HERE is a link to the page of posts.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT... AND YOU SHOULD FEEL FINE!
Well, here it is:
The 2012 Winter Solstice.
Focused on by so many for so long, the day has finally come, arriving with the sun moving into its lowest position in our region at 6:12 AM this morning.
So, how are you doing? How are you enjoying the end of the world, which some believed was the predictive significance of the Mayan Calendar supposedly ending on this date? Worried? Excited? Not impressed one way or another?
Well, of course, the world, as in Planet Earth, isn't ending today nor in any foreseeable future, but... the world as we know it is definitely ending, or more accurately... shifting. It has been for a while. I've called the energy of this shift "The Wave," and it has definitely been effecting people's lives at an accelerated rate as we've come down to the end of 2012. Anxiety, depression, frustration, along with deaths, disasters, tragedies and relationship turmoil... this time of year has always been the "high season" in the therapy business, but this year, it's been off the charts. Likewise, people are feeling a sense of excitement, promise, expansion and an inner peacefulness in increasing doses as well. That, too, is part of The Wave.
Collectively, there is a great acceleration going on as well. The superstorms before election day in November seemed to almost deliberately help Barack Obama get re-elected, while the tragedy in Connecticut this past week seems to be waking up the country to the retrogressive 3D beliefs that needed to be jettisoned quickly as we head into 4-and-5D. I watched in awe on TV this week as people literally handed in their guns by the thousands and politicians of both parties were acknowledging the need for more serious gun control and more serious attention to the mental health needs of our population.
But the end of the world as we know it is even bigger, much bigger, than changing laws and policies, bigger even than changing people's minds and attitudes on certain social and interpersonal issues, bigger than tidal waves, hurricanes and earthquakes, which have also been on the rise.
The real change now lies in the way we will be consciously operating in the "new world." Here's what to look for:
- Creating our reality consciously, and without the constraints of linear time, will be accepted as commonplace. Being able to get from A to Z without having to go through the whole alphabet, getting from here to there without all of the stop signs, detours and switchbacks in between will be easily accomplished.
- Notions like "serendipity" and "coincidence" will seem like old superstitious ways of thinking, as those concepts and what we once thought of as "miracles" will now merely be understood as the result of nature unimpeded.
- Healing of illness and injury will become more spontaneous and organic, effected through directing consciousness and the forces of nature, rather than by relying on the invasive slash, burn and drug technologies of 3D.
- The future and the past will be understood as creations in the present, and as such, ruminating about the past and worrying about the future will dissipate in our emotional states.
- Death will become clearly understood as an archaic illusion of the 3D linear game of limitation, and ultimately, death itself will simply become obsolete as an experience.
- Abundance will be a given. We will no longer live in a consciousness of "need" and "greed," two sides of the same Oral Character Structure coin. While money may still continue to exist for a while as a means of exchange, it will become perfectly clear that material abundance and abundance in all areas is our birthright and merely the nature of existence.
Perhaps in another conversation, we can address the notion of there being many Earths with many versions of ourselves living on them, but let us at least say this, that not everyone you know, and not everything you "have" in your current life on your current Earth will be with you much longer. Some will, or already have, left the planet, and some will dig into their 3D attachments, even as the tide of 4D makes their lives more and more difficult. And while it may still seem to you that there is a continuity to the changes in your life - from people leaving your sphere because they have died or moved locales or broken off ties with you, etc. - as we continue this acceleration, you will experience certain disappearances and appearances happening more rapidly and suddenly, without the typical transitions (Read the FPl post: "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO..." HERE).
Not to worry. You will adjust to this. Just as the take-off of an airplane, at a speed of 100 to 150 miles an hour, seems really fast, but the cruising speed of 500 miles an hour at 35,000 feet seems like you're hardly moving, so too, will you get used to zipping through your life - without aging as you think of it - at warp speed, with a graceful calm and comfort.
Here we go, folks! It's the end of the world as we knew it... and we are all gonna feel really fine!

SPACED OUT? TIRED? LOST? IT'S THE WAVE! (Try Jeni's "Brown Butter Almond Brittle" Ice Cream!)
I've never witnessed anything quite like it, folks. Person after person - those I work with in my therapy practice, and other friends and family - day after day telling me how spaced out, tired and lost they've been feeling lately.
"All I want to do is sleep... and I can never get enough sleep."
"I can't find any enthusiasm or excitement about anything I'm doing... and I'm not doing anything."
"I'm broke. No money or work is coming in... and by the way, I'm not actively looking for any work anyway."
"What gives, PL? Is this my 2012? Is this The Wave?!"
Well... yes... but take heart. The tide is coming back in, and with it another surge, though keep in mind, for many people in our collective right now, "high tide" and "surge" are not welcome words.
As I've been writing and saying for a while, The Wave is having three effects on people, depending on various factors.
If you've been hunkering down, holding on against change in your life, digging into 3D ideas and beliefs, like dualism and limitation, and holding onto emotions like fear - you're continuing on in a struggling, battling, crisis-ridden way of life, in which obstacles, barriers and adversaries continue to plague your daily existence.
On the other hand, if your statement is that you don't want to make the shift to 4D yet, but you don't want to suffer here on Earth anymore either, you're leaving the planet altogether. As FPL readers may recall, I posted the statistic a few weeks ago that more people died last year in the U.S. than in any year since we've been keeping the statistic.
Finally, if you're embracing the challenge of inner change, doing the self-work necessary to open your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual channels, stepping into what feels like "the unknown" and moving forward into 4D where you create your reality consciously in accordance with your highest excitement, you're most likely not "dying" or experiencing any "disasters."
BUT... you are feeling spaced out, tired and lost, even though you are simultaneously feeling more like your true self than ever before. This is to be expected.
Moving forward in our evolution in the way we are doing during this moment in time requires a level of "emptying out," of personal, internal "house cleaning," that is rare. This period is similar to the Black Plague of the 14th Century, a major Wave in itself, when 60% of the Earth's population left the planet in a matter of a few years, while the rest of humanity divided up and either hunkered down and held onto primitive, superstitious beliefs and old ways of living from the Dark Ages, or went on to begin The Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment.
A perfect metaphor came to me recently from a friend describing the damage done to homes on Fire Island by the superstorms of last month. The houses that were built firmly on the sand, presenting solid walls to the ocean, were knocked over by the storm surge and for the most part destroyed. The Wave, literally, slammed right into them. The houses that were built on "stilts," however, were spared from destruction because the surges of powerful waves moved through the open space.
This is how it's working in all of our lives right now. Closed, walled up inner lives? Slam! Open, elevated consciousnesses? Whew!
But listen everyone - we are all part of the collective of humanity. We are all one, all connected. So, this moment is exhausting for all of us, regardless of how you're receiving the changes. Over and over I keep receiving the message from "Higher Sources" that this is not a time for major outer action, not a time of "doing." It is a time for developing trust, faith in your Higher Self, in your path. As with every storm, you must wait until it passes before venturing out. I believe this is what the parable of Passover was about when that Wave of 1441 B.C. struck in Egypt.
So, relax. If you have been doing the self-work necessary, you've built your beach house on stilts. As much as possible, rest, and do whatever gives you pleasure in the moment. There's this new ice cream out - "Jeni's" and their "Brown Butter Almond Brittle" flavor is an outstanding way to ride out the storm!

THE WAVE IN SANDY HOOK!
Ugh! I know this is a hard one, folks. I know.
Children are so close to our hearts as human beings, and so close to spirit as beings themselves. The images of those 20 kids being murdered so wantonly in their schoolroom is very, very hard for our 3D minds to wrap around, and even harder for our emotional bodies to tolerate without feeling overwhelmed.
This is the time we are living in, a time of great transition, a time of dividing up along vibrational lines, some of us hunkering down into 3D for another 1,000-year round or so of dualistic, linear conflict and strife, right and wrong, good and evil, etc., others among us shifting up to 5D, and a "golden age" of unity and harmony, the "Age of Aquarius" as it's been called by some. (4D, by the way, is just a transitional dimension, vibrationally speaking, not a resting place.)
To understand that those children "volunteered" at the soul level to participate in this drama to further accelerate our transition to a new level of consciousness, that even the killer himself was a participant, doing a heinous job for that purpose, challenges us to greatly expand our understanding of the nature of the Universe that exists within us and around us.
You cannot grasp the totality of this with a political, social or psychological perspective. This is not just about the need for gun control policies, saner institutions or better treatment of psychosis. This is an event that only a spiritual perspective can encompass and integrate fully. Only when you know that All That Is is all that is can you resonate to the message, to the purpose of something so painful, in the same way that only a spiritual understanding can understand any so-called tragedy or disaster.
The fast track to higher consciousness, which is what we are on right now, requires an intense level of clearing and clarifying, of seeing ourselves for who we really are, of being ourselves as who we really are, and the first step towards that effort is seeing ourselves for who we no longer wish to be, who we really are not.
We are not liberals or conservatives, Christians or Muslims, white or black, etc., etc. We are not even men or women, adults or children in the truest sense. We are all each other; we are all one and one with all. The illusion of separation coming to an end is very much what this great transition is about right now. The pain that we feel over the killings of the children in Sandy Hook is only possible because we are connected to our oneness with them. And yet, the solace that we can also feel is in that oneness, as well, because through that connection, we can know that no one, no thing, ever "dies," as in ceases to exist. No one ceases to be. Only form changes, and in fact is always changing, and always in the direction of even greater connection to All That Is.
And as I've written here several times, everyone "makes it" back to Source. When I write about The Wave and the possibility of missing The Train to 4D, etc., it is not to imply that some will be left behind against their will, or left behind at all in any permanent way. It is meant to remind those who have decided to transition at this time that the time is here. The Wave, even when it appears in such a seemingly harsh form as a natural disaster or a man-made calamity, is here to help us accelerate to where we desire ultimately to go.
We will see the children of Sandy Hook again. And they can see us now. They are scouts, path clearers for us, as many of us are for others. Being yourself as fully as possible is all that's required to realize this truth. Pursuing whatever brings you joy and allows unconditional love to flow through you is all that's required to live in a world that supports peace and harmony.
And yes, yet, in order to clear the inner channels, we must experience grief.
This is a favorite little parable of mine. I don't know from where it originates, but I share it with you:
"One day, a wise teacher is with his disciples. The teacher's son has just died and he is overcome with grief. His disciples don't know what to think. For years, the teacher has been teaching them that life is an illusion, and yet, here they are faced with his grief at losing his son. Eventually one of them asks: 'Teacher, haven't you taught us that everything is an illusion? Why then do you grieve in this way for your son?' The teacher replies: 'It is true, everything here is an illusion, and the death of one's child is the most painful illusion of all."
MORE PERSONAL ACCOUNTS FROM THE WAVE!
"K" wrote in with this account of her Wave experience:
"Was sobbing in the bath yesterday and started channeling clear information: the grief releasing from my system is like using my breath when when I stretch my physical muscles (When I do this, I allow the breath and gravity to bring my body closer to the ground and as a result, the muscle stretches.). The channeled information said to use the tears like the breath, and release the tension from my psyche and subtle body. And to be careful not to attach the grief to the present, or I will miss the gift of the present.
Passing this on."
PL:
The part about "not attaching the grief to the present" is quite important. For many people working on themselves, The Wave is helping to bring up and flush out old sorrow and emotional pain that we've been carrying around for years, decades, even lifetimes, but it's easy to confuse this outpouring by thinking that maybe there's something "bad" happening in the present.
Thank you for this personal revelation, K.

"THANK YOU PETER!!!! Perfectly timed!!! I keep forgetting when ask myself why the hell I am so exhausted in the midst of making more health conscious choices than ever...doing my personal work, exercise, love making, healthy food, vitamins, and fun? Why I have been dragging myself around for the past week feeling like I am 89 not 49? IT'S THE WAVE!!!! So glad to hear I am not alone."
PL:
You are definitely not alone. This is a big one, and a big opportunity. Sounds like you're taking advantage of that opportunity, so... congratulations! And hang in there!

FOUR WEEKS LEFT AND THE WAVE IS EVERYWHERE!
I wondered in an FPL post a few weeks ago, "THE WAVE FOR OBAMA," whether The Wave was in fact coming to sweep Obama up for another term? Today, we know the answer clearly was yes. Barack Obama, rather resoundingly, has been re-elected for a second term as President of the United States. But in terms of my main focus on this blog over the last few years - The Great Transition (Pathwork Guide Lecture #75) of humanity to 4th dimensional consciousness - what does this event mean?
From The Guide:
"Now comes a third major phase on this path.
As I've written on FPL, this current transitional time is a time of "non-optional choice." That might seem like an oxymoron, but let me explain.
The non-optional part is that you must make a choice, now. In other words, this is not a time where remaining in neutral is possible. The status quo must go. The optional part is what choice you make.
As has been written and talked about for a few thousand years, by soothsayers and metaphysically connected individuals, we collectively put in place a decision that in this age, at this time, and specifically centered around the calendar year, 2012, we would shift from 3D consciousness to 4D (You can read some FPL posts on 4D HERE).
The choices basically come down to this:
1. You may hunker down, hold on, and dig into 3D ideas and beliefs - like dualism and limitation - which means that your life will be what is referred to in the Book of Revelations as the "Tribulation." In other words, you will continue on in a struggling, battling, crisis-ridden way of life, in which obstacles, barriers and adversaries continue to plague your daily existence.
2. You may simply leave the planet, making your statement that you don't want to make the shift to 4D yet, but you don't want to suffer either. As FPL readers may recall, I posted the statistic a few weeks ago that more people died last year in the U.S. than in any year since we've been keeping the statistic. Revelations calls this the "Rapture." Yep. It's definitely one popular route right now, especially with younger souls.
3. You may do the self-work necessary to open your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual channels, embrace change and the unknown and move forward into 4D where you create your reality consciously in accordance with your highest excitement. This is the "Thousand Year Golden Age" described in Revelations.
I mean, this might seem like a no-brainer to you, but that most likely means you're on your way to doing whatever it takes to get on the 4D train. A good number of people right now, I can assure you, are going with options 1 or 2.
So, back to the election of 2012 - what does it mean? What are we collectively choosing?
Well, by re-electing one of the more mentally and emotionally balanced presidents we've had in decades in Barack Obama, it appears that we have decided to proceed forward without the most intense levels of a tribulation. In spite of those trying to paint him otherwise, Barack Obama is not an extreme figure politically, but rather a calm and confident "dog-whisperer"-type leader. He may not be particularly enlightened spiritually, not an "old soul," but rather, he is a "mature soul," and as such he can be a balance between the retrogressive and progressive forces in our country and in the world.
Regarding the Rapture, I sense that it will continue in force, if not through war and geopolitical conflict, then perhaps through what we think of as natural disasters and illness, etc. But rest assured, if leaving the planet is not your inner choice, you will be here and you will be fine... or not!
So, here we go, folks. There's now 6 weeks left to 2012, time to make your choice and get on the 4D train... or not. This particular moment "in time" represents the opening of a significant window in our continuum, a moment when there is a great deal of energy available to make the transition. But the 2012 train is heading out of the station, and it will not be as "easy" to catch The Wave soon. Can you eventually catch another train? Absolutely. Ultimately, every being must evolve and continue to raise their vibrational frequencies on their way to fully conscious oneness. Everyone "makes it," in other words. But how and when is always up to us. Again, as I've said before, there will eventually be another train of acceleration to get on at some point, and sooner or later, everyone is going to 4D and beyond. But if you're ready, willing and able, now would be a good time to leap!
All aboard!

The transition from self-centered isolation to the state of union with all is the most essential step on the evolutionary path of an individual spirit entity."

THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING!
DON'T GIVE THANKS TODAY - EXPERIENCE GRATITUDE!
Thanksgiving is here again. It is a wonderful state of being, gratitude, but in our masked world of elaborately designed character structures, how many of us actually know that gratitude is not an action you can take, is not something you can do. No, gratitude, like love and forgiveness, is an organic, spontaneous place you can only arrive to - when you've cleared out the ego-driven negativity, neediness and impulses to control others inside of yourself, which is something you can do.
I've written often on the FPL blog that when you love yourself, you can't help but love others. You don't even have to try. You are in a natural state of lovingness, which isn't necessarily romantic or altruistic, by the way. And when you have become aligned with your Higher Self, you also can't help but feel grateful and forgiving, which, by the way again, doesn't mean subjecting yourself to the lower vibrations of certain family members and friends who are still playing the 3D version of physical life, especially on the appointed holidays of 3D culture.
So, rather than giving thanks today, folks, I recommend experiencing gratitude - for whatever it is that you are genuinely grateful for already!

DID YOU LOSE YOUR POWER DURING THE SUPERSTORMS... OR DID YOU FIND IT?
As FPL's TODAY'S QUOTE from yesterday, channeled by Paul Selig, says:
"When you are attached to what you’ve had, it is very difficult to let things go and go on in a new way. The lesson of the storm is responsibility. How you respond to anything and everything that occurs is your choice."
(Full quote HERE)
The reports are coming in fast and furious. Stories of disasters and miracles, tragedies and triumphs, fear and heroism. People are sharing tales with me of breakthroughs and breakdowns. In either case, I respond by saying: Congratulations! You've arrived to the moment of great transition. Happy 2012!
What?
Yes, that's right. You couldn't be living in a more exciting time if your intention is to embrace change and soar forward to the next place in your evolution.
But people are losing their homes, their belongings, even their lives in some cases. And you say congratulations?!
Look, if you don't get that your existence is an ongoing, eternal journey through and beyond the boundaries of time, one during which you are always the creator of your experiences, individually and, by agreement, collectively, then things are going to seem very unpleasant to you, unfair, tragic even. But if you allow yourself to use these events, any events, as a wake-up call, or as a kind of "shock therapy," and stop calling what happens in your life "luck" (good or bad) or "coincidence," then you will be on your way to becoming a "conscious creator."
Initially, just-waking conscious creators ask of every occurrence: "How and why did I create this?" They are beginning to understand that in the screenplay of our lives, we are the writer, director and main character, and so how the stories play out, the arc of our script, is fully in our hands.
This is an exercise I often recommend to people I work with - to imagine your life as a movie that you are writing, directing and starring in, and for every situation in each act, ask of yourself: "Now, why did I write that in at that time?" Whether you believe it is true or not, it is a worthy exercise in self-responsibility and self-awareness.
Did your character lose power or gain power during the act?
Did you lose power or gain power during the storms last week?
Perhaps in your rewrite, you might say, for example: "My electricity went out for a while, but I discovered my inner power to attract kindness from others, and my ability to let go of things I was attached to and create space for new things."
In other words: "In losing the conventional notion of power, I discovered my true inner power, and from there, I can create a new reality more aligned with who I truly desire to be."
Well, then... Congratulations!

"A2PERSON" RESPONDS TO PL ON LOSING OR GAINING POWER DURING THE SUPERSTORMS! PL RESPONDS!
Here's A2P:
Hi PL,
Your post: DID YOU LOSE YOUR POWER DURING THE SUPERSTORMS... OR DID YOU FIND IT? really resonated with me and I wanted to share my waveride. This might sound petty but I'd been in a bad job situation for months now and had been bending over backwards to make this job/city/finances fit. During Superstorm Sandy, I was hunkered down for a few days and then, with minimal effort, I now find myself, abruptly, moving to a new city with a new job. With minimal effort I snagged a very affordable place to live too.
The outcome of this move: I will earn enough $ and have costs modest enough to maintain the same standard of living/bioenergetic opportunities in spite of crushing student loan payments awaiting me in January. Whoa. I think I just rode the wave! Cheers to the FPL perspective on this. Curious what 2012 has in store next.
A2 Person
PS
I joined the crowd of, mostly Millennials/Gen X-ers, cheering outside the Whitehouse after Obama was reelected. Politics aside, the crowd felt electric and was pulsating with life.
Here's PL:
Beautiful, A2P! That's the way it works. The Wave is not just about getting slammed; it's about becoming a conscious creator of your reality, and one of the steps is shedding the illusion of victimhood. When something presents itself to you that seems inherently negative or like "the same old shit," you change your reality by responding in a new way, by looking to understand yourself as a creative being, and then you can turn the same-old-same-old into something new and exciting.
Congratulations!
Thanks for writing in.

TODAY'S QUOTE - ON STORMS AND SELF-RESPONSIBILITY!
This is from the Patheos blog, channeled by Paul Selig:
"When you are attached to what you’ve had, it is
very difficult to let things go and go on in a new way. Now we are not telling
you all that you have to let go of everything to move forward, but you do have
to let go of the attachment to it as your claim of safety.
"You all create the weather you know. You
create the quakes. You create the changes. You are choosing this time
collectively as an embarkation point for a new history. A new history that
has come to bring you worth outside of those things you have believed
would save you. You are the savior, you know. But not in the way you may
think. You lift yourself and your fellows are lifted by you as you reach the
light. When you realize that this is all a creation that you have agreed upon,
you can lift yourself above the illusion and decide something new. When you
claim your worth in the face of any situation, you create a new possibility, a
new opening, a new standing.
"You like to be victims still. If you play victim
you remain a victim. If you point the fingers you are still claiming
victimhood. The victim blames. The true soul claims his own worth in the face
of all experience. The lesson of the storm is responsibility. How you respond to
anything and everything that occurs is your choice. If you believe it is not,
you are self-deceiving in what is responsibility. If you say 'This is an
opportunity for me to know who and what I am in a new way, in a new
possibility,' you will lift to a new thinking, a new creation where you are in
purpose with your life."
A GREAT TIME TO HAVE EVERYTHING SWEPT AWAY!
How are you doing?
That has become quite a loaded and penetrating question these days. Most recently, two superstorms, as real-time events and as metaphors, have slammed the northeast. As I've been writing about more and more frequently, The Wave is upon us. It is not only taking down houses and whole neighborhoods, not to mention the Republican Party, but it is also shaking up relationships and careers, bringing the very fabric of life as we know it into question, and challenging everyone to look at what they're attached to, externally, obviously, but mainly internally, the place from which we create the external - old beliefs and ideas, identities, judgments and illusions of power and control.
In my profession, when I ask the question above, I am available to listen with full attention to the person answering, and to try and help connect the dots and follow the sequence of events to understand not just how they are doing but why they are doing how they're doing.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character, Sherlock Holmes, was known for saying:
"When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."
In a screenplay of mine, called "The Agreement," I once wrote:
"Whatever is still there when you stop believing in it is reality."
People have been saying things to me lately, like: "Oh, you weren't kidding about The Wave. It's real. It's here!"
I laugh, and remind them that 6 months, a year, two years ago, I began saying this and saying that I wasn't joking, that I meant it literally. You see, we have all agreed to awaken to a new level of consciousness at this time, and so the clarion call has sounded, has come to arouse us. How each person responds is a matter of free will and soul age, but no one right now can remain untouched by The Wave. No one can maintain their status quo.
The old is being swept away. If you are actively engaged in sweeping away the old patterns of thinking and feeling (or not feeling) in your inner life, the changes in your outer life may still be dramatic, but most likely not traumatic. If you are not choosing to wake up willingly, however, The Wave is serving as an alarm clock for you, sweeping away your outer structures to get you to look at your inner ones.
Folks, I am not trying to alarm you, not really. Events will do that. I am trying to alert you, trying to help translate the messages we are all getting right now. This is ultimately a wonderful time to be incarnated here on Earth, a time during which one can evolve greatly in no time at all compared to other times. Don't give in to fear or stay in frustration. Embrace change. Open your consciousness. Ride The Wave!

Embrace change. Open your consciousness. Ride The Wave!
THE PSYCHOPATH'S CAREERS OF CHOICE!
I lifted the chart below from a sweet piece yesterday on the Huffington Post, entitled "Which Professions Have The Most Psychopaths?" by writer Eric Barker.
Barker writes:
"First off, psychopath doesn't just mean someone who cuts you up with a chainsaw -- though the majority of people who do things like that are psychopaths."
The writer is correct. Psychopathy is but one of the five Character Structures we may build around and into ourselves to survive the slings and arrows of childhood at the mercy of un-self-actualized parents, and a dysfunctional social and cultural environment. (For of full description of the Psychopathic Character Structure go HERE.)
So, given that most psychopaths do function, relatively speaking, in society, which professions (other than axe murderer) do they disproportionately gravitate towards -- or away from, according to Barker?
Well, enjoy the chart below: + means more psychopathy, - means less. And take note of where a career as a therapist fits in. (Whew!)

LETTING GO OF THE IDEA OF "THE PAST!" (GOOD-BYE SEASIDE HEIGHTS!)
As I watched the footage of Hurricane Sandy's devastation to the Jersey Shore this week, I was struck by a surreal image of the Seaside Heights amusement park and boardwalk, which was basically wiped out by the storm.
In my childhood and youth, Seaside Heights was where I spent several family vacations, and even some vacations in young adulthood. The memories of body surfing, walking barefoot into town to buy comic books, eating buckets of steamers on the boardwalk and crabbing at midnight off the pier with Grandpa Pete have been held in my consciousness in a golden light throughout the years.
Through the many years of self-work since those days, I have let go of "my past" as a determining influence on my present, and come to understand that the "past as prologue" idea is just that - an idea. Furthermore, as a line of reality, the past only exists to the degree that I continued to create it, and even at that, the past could be changed from my perspective in the present. And the more my focus and attention is on the here and now, the less real the past becomes.
So, when I saw the literal disappearance of the Seaside Heights boardwalk, I understood clearly that outer reality, as such, does indeed follow inner reality. My past was not only gone inside of me, but in my outer line of reality as well. I have written about this phenomenon regarding people in our lives who "disappear" (See my FPL piece: "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO..." HERE), and it only stands to reason that places that are no longer of a relevant vibration to us individually or collectively, will also become "whatever happened to's."
Now, don't get up in arms and misunderstand the implications of what I'm saying here. I'm not blithely dismissing any person, place or thing disappearing when it no longer serves us as a throw-away comment. It's a big deal. But... we create our own reality at every level, individually and collectively, so yes, in my reality, just as in yours, people, places and things will "vanish" from your line of reality as their vibrations no longer match yours. However, that does not mean that said people, places and things don't continue on in another parallel line of reality.
You see, it is an exquisite dance, an amazing choreography, how individual reality and collective reality dovetail perfectly such that every detail of everyone's creations serves and supports everyone else's.
So fear not, if you still desire to have the Seaside Heights boardwalk in your reality, it will be rebuilt.

REPOST: "JUST ONE PUFF (OF A LOW VIBRATION) CAN KILL YOU!"
Thought I'd repost this from last year, when Mayor Bloomberg's City Council voted to ban smoking in New York City's parks, beaches and Times Square.
This is from December 2011:
According to the newest surgeon general's report on smoking, even one cigarette is too many. Lung cancer is what people usually fear from smoking, and yes, that can take years to strike. But Thursday's SG report says there's no doubt that tobacco smoke begins poisoning immediately – as more than 7,000 chemicals in each puff rapidly spread through the body to cause cellular damage in nearly every organ.
"That one puff on that cigarette could be the one that causes your heart attack," said Surgeon General Regina Benjamin. Or the one that triggers someone else's: "I advise people to try to avoid being around smoking any way that you can," she said.
So, why am I posting this here today? I'm pretty sure that not a lot of FPL readers are cigarette smokers. However, this is a perfect metaphor for something I do often warn my patients about - exposing themselves to toxic low vibrations in others.
Often, when people I work with attain a level of emotional connectedness and freedom, as well as a comparable level of awareness, understanding and mental clarity, they find themselves in a quandary: they discover that some of their old friends and family members, especially those who have dug into a lower level of consciousness, are getting more difficult to relate to and spend time with. They seem like they've turned into Flintstone characters.
I liken this phenomenon to having quit smoking, then trying to go back into a bar full of smokers. Your newly cleared out lungs immediately feel the toxic effects of the smoke. Likewise, after you've done enough self-work to be approaching self-actualization, your newly cleared out consciousness and emotional body immediately feels the effects of a clogged consciousness emitting toxic vibrations and distorted emotions.
In this transitional phase, the entire world, at first, suddenly appears to be crazy and toxic, and so the evolved person often fears that they are going to end up alone with no one to relate to. Let me say this as clearly as possible - that never happens!
No different than clearing out old junk from your closet, you are merely making room, and once the "Law of Attraction" kicks in, you will be filling that closet up with newer things - and relationships - that resonate with your higher vibration.
Anyway, you have no choice, folks. If you are no longer a smoker, you can't go in that bar anymore, and once you've raised your vibration, you can't go down again. So, stay open, trust your Higher Self, and you will find that suddenly smoking in public places is no longer allowed in your reality.
