Check out this post by Sir Paul McCartney. While his perspective is generally what one would consider 3rd dimensional, the musical knight operates at the highest vibration possible at that level.
TOO BUSY FOR VACATION? MAYBE YOU'RE ADDICTED TO INTENSITY!
Well, it's definitely summer, isn't it? Heat waves, baseball, mosquitos, margaritas, lazy days and even lazier nights, and... vacation! The beaches and mountains call us as July 4th looms just days away.
But Americans are not particularly good at relaxing. We have the longest work-days and work-weeks, and the shortest paid vacation time compared to most countries. This is, of course, what we've been creating individually and collectively, but for many, it's starting to get old.
I've written before on our "addictions to intensity and anxiety" (You can read three of the posts HERE.) I've also written about the importance of vacation time (HERE and HERE and HERE.). Vacations are crucial to our well-being not only for the purposes of rest and rejuvenation, but also to actually remind us of how to live in a state of alignment.

HERE is a quote from an essay in today's Sunday NY TIMES entitled: "The ‘Busy’ Trap," by TIM KREIDER:
"Busyness serves as a kind of existential reassurance, a hedge against emptiness; obviously your life cannot possibly be silly or trivial or meaningless if you are so busy, completely booked, in demand every hour of the day."

THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING, PART ONE: SEX IS THE MOST POWERFUL WAY TO ACCESS SOURCE ENERGY!
This is the first entry in what I'm imagining will be a series in which I will discuss... well... the truth about everything. The truth about everything?! Well, to qualify, at least the truth as it has been made known to me by opening up the inner channels in myself and through observing and receiving information from other open channels and through an accumulated body of knowledge that came from exploring the inner and outer lives of a multitude of individuals over several decades. And the "everything" part will be the main things that preoccupy the minds of most human beings a good amount of the time that they are human beings. So, naturally, I started with sex.
Of course, if I were to start with the highest levels of the truth about everything, this would be a very short post indeed, because contrary to what our complex intellects are inclined to believe, the higher you go, the simpler the truths are. Basically, the defining truths of our known universe are: we exist, we create our own reality, we are all one, love is the essence of All That Is, and change/movement is continuous in all things at all times. That's all of it. End of story in the big picture.
That being said, there are in the "smaller picture," let us say, lesser truths, truths that pertain to particular lines of reality and collective agreements and "games" that we have agreed to participate in that effect our day-to-day experiences in what appear to be more immediate ways in 3rd dimensional reality.
One of those truths is that sex, and the orgasm experience, particularly when experienced in conjunction with love and Eros, is one of the most direct ways that physical human beings can access the source energy of All That Is. The full experience of orgasm, especially while in the throws of love and Eros, can heal physical illnesses, can clarify the confusion our accumulated beliefs engender, can free up creative expression and can even be accessed to attract material abundance. Furthermore, metaphysically speaking, the orgasm experience, for the brief period that it lasts, literally does "get you off," as in off the planet! Yep. When you are in the throws of a good orgasm, you are blown (no pun intended) out of 3rd dimensional consciousness up to anywhere from a 5th to 9th dimensional vibration, according to some channelled information I recently came upon (again, no pun intended.)
The orgasm experience in general, even at lesser levels of intensity, such as through simple masturbation, can effect positive shifts in our health and well-being. Recent studies, for example, have shown that regular orgasms are in direct proportion to healthier immune systems, better heart health, lesser rates of depression, and in men, orgasms in mid-life decrease the risk of prostate cancer and in women, orgasm can act as an analgesic during pre-menstrual symptoms and menstrual pains.
THIS is a quote from a piece by Deepak Chopra:
"Sexual energy is the primal and creative energy of the universe. All things that are alive come from sexual energy. In animals and other life forms, sexual energy expresses itself as biological creativity. In humans, sexual energy can be creative at all levels -- physical, emotional and spiritual. In any situation -- where we feel attraction, arousal, awakening, alertness, passion, interest, inspiration, excitement, creativity, enthusiasm -- in each of these situations, sexual energy is at work. Whenever we feel these states of awareness, we must put our attention on the energy that we are experiencing, nourishing it with our attention, experiencing it with joy and keeping it alive in our awareness. Sexual desire is sacred and chaste. The suppression of sexual energy is false, ugly and unchaste. During sexual union, there is union between flesh and spirit."
THIS is from the Pathwork Guide Lecture entitled:
"The Spiritual Symbolism and Significance of Sexuality:"
"In the human realm the power of sexuality can, in its most ideal form, be the greatest 'representative' of spiritual existence. There is no other human experience that conveys so fully what spiritual bliss, oneness, and timelessness are: the timeless Now, beyond the confines of time. In the total sexual experience man breaks through the confines of time and separateness to which his limited mind has bound him. Through such an experience man is reminded of his true existence in the eternal."
Likewise, we can never underestimate the damage done, individually and collectively, from sexual repression. The old slogan from the 60's - "Make love not war." - was on the mark. I have often asked people if after a passionate session of lovemaking, culminating in system-clearing orgasms with someone they love, have they ever felt inclined to follow that amazing experience up by starting a war, or stealing someone's pension or throwing toxins in our water supply? Right. The suppression of sex and all that brings has led to negative, destructive outcomes in so many areas of life. Read more HERE.

TODAY'S PARENTING QUOTE!
"Your real job as parents is mainly just two-fold: Part One, to foster their independence at a very early age; Part Two, to demonstrate what alignment looks like."

THE BEST THING ON PREPARING FOR PARENTHOOD I'VE EVER READ!!
Okay, I bow down to Tracy Moore, who wrote this beauty of a piece
for "JEZEBEL," entitled: "You’re So Not Almost Ready for a Baby, Even If You Think You Are."
Yep. You win, Tracy. Your one-pager beats any long-winded treatise I've
ever written in trying to convince prospective parents to think it over. You
are the champ.
To read the whole piece,
click on the links above. But here for your enjoyment is the best bullet list
ever, Tracy's "Baby Squad™ Fitness Program for
Actual Baby Readiness.", it would come with the following drills/regimen
for the entire year prior to conception:
Practice
wrestling a large, slippery fish three times a week.
Wake
up every two hours at night, punch yourself in the face, walk around for 28
minutes pleading in jibberish. Go back to "sleep." Repeat.
Socialize
with friends in 18-second increments.
Practice
asking for the check, boxing up your food and exiting a restaurant in under
sixty seconds — two bites into the meal.
Watch
38% of any film or television show; never see the ending or resolution.
Read
the same three paragraphs of a novel once every two weeks; fall asleep.
Shower
every three to five days, but only for two minutes.
Hire
a makeup artist to make you up to look 10 years older. Look at yourself in the
mirror, then laugh, cry, laugh, cry, laugh, cry. Do not go get a drink.
Pack
two additional bags of random stuff to carry with you every time you leave the
house.
Stand
around a tennis court and catch fly balls with one hand for two hours a day
while also preparing a peanut butter sandwich.
Practice
wrestling aforementioned large, slippery fish, then dress it in seasonally
appropriate outfit, including hat and/or jacket. Then go back, remove all
clothing, and apply sunscreen. Re-dress fish.
Memorize
The Cat in the Hat, then repeat every evening between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Make
24 hours of baby-crying audio; hit play the moment you take a phone call, fire
up your computer, or begin speaking any sentences to another human that contain
important or useful information.
Imagine a mental written
list of your responsibilities for each day, tear it in
half, burn one piece, take a shit (literally) on the other one.
half, burn one piece, take a shit (literally) on the other one.

REPOSTS FROM 7/4/11 & 7/4/10: "INDEPENDENCE DAY - PARTS ONE & TWO!"
Obviously, I think that the Declaration of Independence, even given the limitations of the men who wrote and signed it, was a great document. I do use phrases from it in my blog's tag line, albeit with my own variation ("Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness... through Self-Actualization") and in my FPL radio podcasts, also embellished with a 4th Dimensional twist ("We hold these truths to be self-evident... that we create our own reality, we are all one and love is the essence of All That Is").
Below is a repost of something that I wrote last 4th of July, and you can CLICK HERE for a page of related blog pieces I've written on the subject of independence.
INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Here we go again! Another holiday about flags and beer and bad food. Ain't that America?
But what about celebrating independence on Independence Day, and, you know, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?" We aren't a colony of Great Britain anymore, or of any other country for that matter, so what do we actually need to become independent of in present time?
How about illusion? Yes, illusion. And while we're at it, how about declaring our freedom from beliefs? From dogma? And from the repetitive, rote behaviors our illusions lead to? How about setting off the real fireworks of reality?
Everything we suffer from, folks, is the result of an illusion. Money problems, relationship issues, a less than vibrant sex-life, the stifled expression of creativity... all are a function of holding onto to that which isn't rooted in reality. Quite frankly, it's crazy!
The laws of reality are so simple, so straightforward, so all-encompassing, you'd think everyone would be living accordingly. But it's not so. You see, here on planet earth - the 3D version - we've been experimenting with letting our egos rule our experience of reality. Yes, our egos, that little part of our mind was only supposed to be a temporary stand-in, just for a brief while in early childhood, when fantasy was a way of adapting to untenable situations, until our Higher Self mind could be integrated and grounded into our personalities and lead the way out of the wilderness of childhood. But then, out of fear, confusion, laziness, we allowed our egos to stay in charge and become the ongoing dictators of our paths. Well, then, the lives that so many are leading are perfect examples of what the ego at its best can create. Limitation, drama and fear.
On the other hand, if we aligned with our Higher Selves, and the simple laws of the Universe - we create our reality; we are all one; love is the essence of All That Is; and everything is in a continuous state of change - life would be much more like surfing. (Yes, I'm at the beach writing this!) Instead of trying to constantly control and predict events, we would simply seek to stay balanced while the wave of our Higher Selves carried us to our first, best destiny.
On this Independence Day, then, why not celebrate our independence from illusion and wake up to the freedom of living in reality. It's not about flags or fireworks or hot dogs. It's about freedom. Read the Declaration of Independence today. It's a remarkable document. It's about "Self-Evident Truths."
