The headlines lately are often about the devastating weather, most recently the tornados striking hard in the midwest, storms of a magnitude not recorded before. Two weeks ago, the headlines proclaimed record-breaking floods in the Mississippi Valley, erasing entire towns from the map. And this week's NEWSWEEK Magazine says we're in for more in a cover story entitled, "ARE YOU READY FOR MORE?."
Below are 3 posts in the series, "THE DEADLY SIDE OF THE WAVE," from the FPL blog on the phenomenon I've been calling "The Wave" for a year and a half now. Fear not, though. The Wave need not be deadly for you. In fact, it can be exactly what you need to "surf" on forward at an accelerated rate to your place of highest excitement.
THE DEADLY SIDE OF THE WAVE, PART 3!
The headlines today are all about the enormous earthquake, the largest in the country's history, and the subsequent tsunamis that struck Japan Friday, devastating towns and cities, causing a meltdown in four nuclear reactors, and killing thousands people. Below are 3 posts from the FPL blog on the phenomenon I've been calling "The Wave" for over a year now.
THE DEADLY SIDE OF THE WAVE, PART 2!
Beginning in January of 2010, I wrote about an energy surge moving across the planet, The Wave is what I called it, and I wrote several articles about its impacts. Two weeks ago, I wrote that The Wave was back in full force, and indeed it is. And in one piece, I reminded my readers that there was a "Deadly Side of The Wave."
The day after Christmas 2010, I wrote this:
"Now, before 2011 has even begun, I am already hearing stories of sudden deaths, relationship break-ups or financial crises, coupled with splendid bursts of new love and creative expression and prosperity."
And it's not over yet. The collective news yesterday and today is filled with the horrific mass murder in Arizona that was part of an assassination attempt on a Democratic Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, and in my own personal reality, a dear friend died suddenly three days ago.
I'm not writing this here now because I'm "worried" about anyone, though. I know that "death" is an illusion of 3rd-dimensional physical, linear reality. I'm writing this because you may know that you have something that you desire to do yet in this particular lifetime, something that you actually planned to accomplish. It's never too late, of course, but there are windows of opportunity that we collectively open up from time to time through which we can accelerate our journey. That's what The Wave is. An opportunity to take the fast track to your highest joy and excitement and fulfillment, or to make a fast exit.
It's always up to you. And you'll always have another opportunity, but why wait?!
Good-bye, my old friend. Happy trails!
THE DEADLY SIDE OF THE WAVE, PART 1!
Every day, I am hearing stories from people of sudden and dramatic deaths, or near death experiences.
The Wave that I've been writing about since January is no joke, folks.
In today's news: one fifth of Pakistan is now underwater from dramatic flooding. Read that entire story HERE.

THE WAVE HITS MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL!
As all Yankee fans know by now, last night The Wave hit in the Bronx. Not only was the great New York baseball team in the midst of yet another dramatic finale to yet another dramatic game in the post-season, but this time, the ever-popular captain of the Yankees, Derek Jeter, leading the way through yet another championship run, was taken out.
Delirious only minutes earlier, fans at Yankee Stadium sat stunned in utter disbelief as they watched Jeter being helped off the field. Yep, the eventual Hall of Fame shortstop was hit by The Wave. The durable captain broke his left ankle on a routine play and is out for the rest of the post-season.
Meanwhile, last week, right in the midst of a successful first round of the play-offs, Joe Girardi, manager of the Yankees, endured the death of his father, and only days before that, Oakland A's pitcher, Pat Nesheck, in the midst of celebrating his team's having made the play-offs, experienced the inexplicable sudden death of his newborn son less than 24 hours after the seemingly healthy baby was born.
I am not being glib about these losses, folks, ranging from the unfortunate to the tragic. A few days ago, I wrote about this headline in the news: "U.S. Deaths Surpass 2.5 Million For The First Time." As I wrote in that post, not coincidentally (because there are no coincidences), I'd been expecting that headline, and was just wondering the day before, in fact, if there were any stats on the subject. And there was the piece with the stats. People are dropping like flies these days. Every week, I hear another story of someone who's suddenly left the planet or developed some fatal, or near-fatal disease, or had some calamity occur.

The Wave that I've been writing about regularly for the last two years is in full force and still accelerating as we head down the home stretch of 2012. What is The Wave? It is the surge of energy that has been sweeping change across the planet more and more, brought about by a collective intention that has been in place for quite a long time, as we think of it, to make the great transition (as the Pathwork Guide lecture refers to it HERE) from a 3rd dimensional level of consciousness to 4th and 5th dimensional consciousness.
In other words, from the deeper levels of our being, we have all agreed to change the "game" we've been playing for much of what we think of as our history, and now play a new game, one in which we awaken more fully to who and what we really are. In this game, we become conscious creators of our reality, rather than the unconscious creators we've been up until now.
What determines the ways in which one experiences the Wave is directly proportional to the level of openness to change and movement in each person. Where the Wave is meeting a closed system, it's taking its toll through hardships, generally. Where the Wave is experienced as a welcomed shift by the individual, abundance, vibrance in the body, higher love and creative expression are generally the rule. We can think of these two different places in dimensional terms. At the 3rd dimensional vibration, where ego, will and intellect rule, the political and financial systems are rife with corruption and collapsing out from under us, the environment is getting wantonly assaulted beyond repair, nature feels dangerous to our well-being, and competition, greed and violence are taken as endemic to being human. In the Third Dimension, shit happens. And it happens to you!
In the Fourth Dimension, shit never just happens. All "coincidences" are meaningful. Serendipity, deja vu, intuitions, one's sixth sense, are all understood as natural aspects of creativity and of creating reality. In fourth dimensional consciousness, all events are addressed by asking the same questions: "Why did I create this?" "Why did I attract this?" "What message is coming to me through these events" Is this what I prefer and choose to create? In Fourth Dimension reality, there are no victims, only creators, and instead of competition, greed and violence, there is collaboration, abundance and oneness.
So, back to the lead story on this post, why all these deaths? Well, because we are all one, because we operate both individually and collectively, and collectively, we've agreed to make this change, those who are not prepared or not willing to make the shift at this time while still here on planet Earth in physical form have chosen to leave. Or go into serious crisis mode.
This particular moment "in time" represents the opening of a significant window in our continuum, a moment when there is a great deal of energy available to make the transition. But the 2012 train is heading out of the station, and it will not be as "easy" to catch The Wave soon. Can you eventually catch another train? Absolutely. Ultimately, every being must evolve and continue to raise their vibrational frequencies on their way to full conscious oneness. Everyone "makes it," in other words. But how and when is always up to us.
THE WAVE IS STILL ROLLING!
Okay, okay... I've referred to it a couple of times, now, so I'll explain. Why? Because we asked for it. Not just for an explanation, but for "The Wave" itself.
There are times in our linear history, as we think of it, when major changes in consciousness are afoot, times when our state of being evolves at a very accelerated rate. Often these times are heralded in our mass consciousness in advance. Thirty, forty and even fifty years ago, many of the shifts we are experiencing in this new century were predicted.
In the Sixties, the "Dawning of the Age of Aquarius" was proclaimed in the Broadway play, "HAIR," not coincidentally revived on Broadway in the 00's. In the early Seventies, many were captured by a book that became a pop culture phenomenon, "Future Shock," by Alvin Toffler. Toffler maintained that society was undergoing an enormous structural change that would overwhelm people, causing a shock-like effect in those who weren't prepared. In the late Eighties, there was the "Harmonic Convergence," which began the modern New Age movement, with its focus on expanding consciousness and non-religious spirituality, reviving the prognostications of famous psychics like Nostradamus and Edgar Casey and even the Mayans about the era that we are now in.
In what Carl Jung once called the "collective unconscious," more aptly understood now as a collective consciousness, we not only hold archetypes of past events and symbols, but we collectively agree to accelerate ourselves forward at certain times in the future.
This is one of those times.
The current surge of volcanoes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, the horrific oil spill currently engulfing the Gulf of Mexico, the collapses in our banking and housing markets, the exposure of nefarious behavior and corruption in government institutions and the Catholic Church, right on up to the Pope himself, these are all negative manifestations of The Wave. (On the positive side, the sudden sweep into the White House of a relatively unknown man of color in 2008, the passage of health care reform recently, etc., moreso in their symbolic meaning than legislative impact, these events are also part of the Wave.)
Toffler's shortest definition of future shock was: "a personal perception of too much change in too short a period of time". Indeed. In a recent edition of the NY Times, there was an excellent essay by Charles M. Blow, entitled "WHOSE COUNTRY IS IT?" in which Blow discusses the shock that staunch conservatives are in right now.
Here's Blow:
"You may want 'your country back,' but you can’t have it. That sound you hear is the relentless, irrepressible march of change. Welcome to America: The Remix. The problem is that the country romanticized by the far right hasn’t existed for some time, and its ability to deny that fact grows more dim every day. President Obama and what he represents has jolted extremists into the present and forced them to confront the future. And it scares them. A woman (Nancy Pelosi) pushed the health care bill through the House. The bill’s most visible and vocal proponents included a gay man (Barney Frank) and a Jew (Anthony Weiner). And the black man in the White House signed the bill into law. It’s enough to make a good old boy go crazy. The Tea Party, my friends, is not the future."
But what about individuals and The Wave? What about you?
In the last three months alone, I have witnessed movement in the lives of my patients, friends and family, the likes of which I have never seen before at such an accelerated rate. And I get it. At times like this, times of increased energy becoming available for change, one of two things happens to people: to those who are open, or working sincerely to become open, the Wave sweeps them forward on their paths, supporting them in their growth, and to those who are closed and resist change, the Wave slams them into crisis, in their finances, in their relationships, health, in some cases, even resulting in death.
It's pretty amazing to witness. On the one hand, I have seen people accomplish measures of growth in a matter of months that used to take years; on the other hand, I have seen people, well, dropping like flies.
So, folks, if you're finding yourself in a state of turmoil, or you feel like something is changing in your life or needs to change, my suggestion is - Don't resist!

THE PERFECT STORM! (More from The Wave!)
The media has dubbed it "Frankenstorm," the combination of a hurricane (dubbed "Sandy"), a nor'easter and and a Canadian cold front coming together in what many are anticipating as a record-breaking weather event in the next 48 hours.
Yeah, well, what else is new? It's the last quarter of 2012, isn't it?
At some level, everything is a metaphor, folks, and as symbolic events go, a "perfect storm" is a perfect metaphor for what's going on in our human collective right now, internally as well as externally. (Almost as a throw-away, on the Huffington Post this morning, there was a smaller headline under the big one about the storm that reads: "MASSIVE Earthquake Hits Canada." Right.)
Two weeks ago, I posted an "UPDATE ON THE WAVE," in which I reminded FPL readers what The Wave is about. That post started with this news item: "U.S. Deaths Surpass 2.5 Million For The First Time."
Here's an excerpt:
"The Wave that I've been writing about regularly for the last two years is in full force and still accelerating as we head down the home stretch of 2012. What is The Wave? Now, lest I sound like an alarmist, let me say this - how The Wave or Frankenstorm or the Great Transition affects you is very much up to you. Even as we are collectively creating one outer reality together, we are each still individually creating our own personal reality.
You will hear many stories in the next few days about how the storm is affecting people. What may not make the news, however, will be the stories of people who were barely disturbed by it. Calm within the storm is not considered as exciting in 3d reality as calamity. And of course, throughout this entire last year or so, well before this big storm, many people have already been experiencing different levels of either calamity or calm, the difference being determined by the openness of the human system as The Wave moves into and through their lives.
Personally, after many years/lifetimes of intensity and drama, I find peace, harmony and calm pretty damn exciting! How about you?
Enjoy the storm!

UPDATE ON THE WAVE!
This headline was in the news today: "U.S. Deaths Surpass 2.5 Million For The First Time."
Not coincidentally (because there are no coincidences), I'd been expecting that headline, was just wondering yesterday, in fact, if there were any stats on the subject. And there it was this morning. SPACED OUT? TIRED? LOST? IT'S THE WAVE! (Try Jeni's "Brown Butter Almond Brittle" Ice Cream!)
I've never witnessed anything quite like it, folks. Person after person - those I work with in my therapy practice, and other friends and family - day after day telling me how spaced out, tired and lost they've been feeling lately.
"All I want to do is sleep... and I can never get enough sleep."
"I can't find any enthusiasm or excitement about anything I'm doing... and I'm not doing anything."
"I'm broke. No money or work is coming in... and by the way, I'm not actively looking for any work anyway."
"What gives, PL? Is this my 2012? Is this The Wave?!"
Well... yes... but take heart. The tide is coming back in, and with it another surge, though keep in mind, for many people in our collective right now, "high tide" and "surge" are not welcome words.
As I've been writing and saying for a while, The Wave is having three effects on people, depending on various factors.
If you've been hunkering down, holding on against change in your life, digging into 3D ideas and beliefs, like dualism and limitation, and holding onto emotions like fear - you're continuing on in a struggling, battling, crisis-ridden way of life, in which obstacles, barriers and adversaries continue to plague your daily existence.
On the other hand, if your statement is that you don't want to make the shift to 4D yet, but you don't want to suffer here on Earth anymore either, you're leaving the planet altogether. As FPL readers may recall, I posted the statistic a few weeks ago that more people died last year in the U.S. than in any year since we've been keeping the statistic.
Finally, if you're embracing the challenge of inner change, doing the self-work necessary to open your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual channels, stepping into what feels like "the unknown" and moving forward into 4D where you create your reality consciously in accordance with your highest excitement, you're most likely not "dying" or experiencing any "disasters."
BUT... you are feeling spaced out, tired and lost, even though you are simultaneously feeling more like your true self than ever before. This is to be expected.
Moving forward in our evolution in the way we are doing during this moment in time requires a level of "emptying out," of personal, internal "house cleaning," that is rare. This period is similar to the Black Plague of the 14th Century, a major Wave in itself, when 60% of the Earth's population left the planet in a matter of a few years, while the rest of humanity divided up and either hunkered down and held onto primitive, superstitious beliefs and old ways of living from the Dark Ages, or went on to begin The Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment.
A perfect metaphor came to me recently from a friend describing the damage done to homes on Fire Island by the superstorms of last month. The houses that were built firmly on the sand, presenting solid walls to the ocean, were knocked over by the storm surge and for the most part destroyed. The Wave, literally, slammed right into them. The houses that were built on "stilts," however, were spared from destruction because the surges of powerful waves moved through the open space.
This is how it's working in all of our lives right now. Closed, walled up inner lives? Slam! Open, elevated consciousnesses? Whew!
But listen everyone - we are all part of the collective of humanity. We are all one, all connected. So, this moment is exhausting for all of us, regardless of how you're receiving the changes. Over and over I keep receiving the message from "Higher Sources" that this is not a time for major outer action, not a time of "doing." It is a time for developing trust, faith in your Higher Self, in your path. As with every storm, you must wait until it passes before venturing out. I believe this is what the parable of Passover was about when that Wave of 1441 B.C. struck in Egypt.
So, relax. If you have been doing the self-work necessary, you've built your beach house on stilts. As much as possible, rest, and do whatever gives you pleasure in the moment. There's this new ice cream out - "Jeni's" and their "Brown Butter Almond Brittle" flavor is an outstanding way to ride out the storm!

RIDING THE WAVE WITH HELIOS!
I am back from two weeks, linearly speaking, of life at the shore, channeling and communing with "Helios," the personification of the sun in Greek mythology, known also as "Sol" in Roman mythology.
As is always the case when it is one's intention, this year's journey to the sea was revelatory and transformational at many levels. The first affirmation that came to me from Helios early on was: "Things are never going to be the same!" This invocation was to be said not the way human beings typically say it, with a sense of tragedy or remorse, but rather with a spirit of excitement and celebration.
THINGS ARE NEVER GOING TO BE THE SAME!
Ha! Try it out. Say it with an energy of positive anticipation and see how it feels.
Anyway, I look towards "vacations" as a time for me to let go of familiar environments, habits, routines, and mental patterns in order to refresh my spirit, reboot my mind, and cleanse my energy field, while absorbing the exquisite healing energy of nature's best. There are few things in life - orgasm, deep meditation and a great sleep are among them - that compare with the sheer joy of immersing myself in the ocean under a bright sun bursting forth through an azure sky. When I am taken by a wave while body surfing, the laughter that roars out of me is a true harmonic between my personality and my soul. I laugh so strongly because I am simultaneously so awed by the power of the water to do with me what it will, and yet in that seeming helplessness, I also feel a knowing comfort that all is right with the Universe.
The Wave that I've often written about over the last 2 years, is strong and getting stronger, folks. As some people are soaring forward into a place of self-actualization, creative expression and pleasure in love, Eros and sex, others are getting slammed and slammed hard. People died out here on Fire Island this year, young people, in their twenties, overdosing on drugs, drowning from recklessly swimming while under the influence late at night during a storm. People who are unconscious or in denial (same thing in a way) will say these were just tragic accidents, the result of youth or maybe depression, etc., and at a superficial level, there is veracity in such an understanding.
At a deeper level of understanding, though, those souls left the planet because they weren't prepared and/or willing to ride The Wave. I am neither being glib nor grim about this. Our souls know that we are eternal and every journey in physical existence has its span of time. However, if you are on the borderline of awakening to your true nature, but are hesitating in doing what it takes to raise your vibration up to that awakening, just know that there is an opportunity for a great deal of help right now, one way or another.
I say ride that Wave! (More pictures to come!)

REPOST: THE FOURTH DIMENSION!
I've been talking about "The Wave" over the last year or so, that surge of energy that's been moving across the world causing "natural" and "man-made" disasters, on the one hand, leaving pain and hardship in its wake for many, while on the other hand, simultaneously sweeping many others rapidly forward towards a place of higher consciousness and fulfillment. What determines the ways in which one experiences the Wave is directly proportional to the level of openness to change and movement in each person. Where the Wave is taking its toll through hardships, generally it is meeting a closed system. Where the Wave is experienced as a welcomed shift by the individual, abundance, higher love and creative expression are generally the rule.
We can think of these two different places in "dimensional" terms. In the Third Dimension, the dimension where ego, will and intellect rule, the political and financial systems are rife with corruption and collapsing out from under us, the environment is getting wantonly assaulted beyond repair, nature is dangerous to our well-being, and competition, greed and violence are taken as endemic to being human. In the Third Dimension, shit happens. And it happens to you!
In the Fourth Dimension, shit never just happens. All "coincidences" are meaningful; serendipity, deja vu, intuitions, one's sixth sense, are all understood as natural aspects of creating reality. In fourth dimensional consciousness, all events are addressed by asking the same questions: "Why did I create this?" "Why did I attract this?" "What message is coming to me through these events" Etc. In Fourth Dimension reality, there are no victims, only creators, and instead of competition, greed and violence, there is collaboration, abundance and oneness.
Clearly, this is not a political, or politically correct, understanding I am sharing here, folks. Many on the right would consider the above some kind of New Age, "socialist" mumbo jumbo, while many on the left would say that I am abdicating responsibility and washing my hands of the disasters our fellow human beings have created. Neither is true. I am simply saying that we create our own reality, collectively, yes, but first and foremost, individually. If more and more of our species chose to individually rise up to a Fourth Dimensional level of consciousness, the wars and crimes against humanity perpetrated by us collectively would diminish much faster than they ever have or ever will through political or social movements, organized religions or systems of government.
The Wave is here, and it's a much better ride in the Fourth Dimension!

A GREAT TIME TO HAVE EVERYTHING SWEPT AWAY!
How are you doing?
That has become quite a loaded and penetrating question these days. Most recently, two superstorms, as real-time events and as metaphors, have slammed the northeast. As I've been writing about more and more frequently, The Wave is upon us. It is not only taking down houses and whole neighborhoods, not to mention the Republican Party, but it is also shaking up relationships and careers, bringing the very fabric of life as we know it into question, and challenging everyone to look at what they're attached to, externally, obviously, but mainly internally, the place from which we create the external - old beliefs and ideas, identities, judgments and illusions of power and control.
In my profession, when I ask the question above, I am available to listen with full attention to the person answering, and to try and help connect the dots and follow the sequence of events to understand not just how they are doing but why they are doing how they're doing.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character, Sherlock Holmes, was known for saying:
"When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."
In a screenplay of mine, called "The Agreement," I once wrote:
"Whatever is still there when you stop believing in it is reality."
People have been saying things to me lately, like: "Oh, you weren't kidding about The Wave. It's real. It's here!"
I laugh, and remind them that 6 months, a year, two years ago, I began saying this and saying that I wasn't joking, that I meant it literally. You see, we have all agreed to awaken to a new level of consciousness at this time, and so the clarion call has sounded, has come to arouse us. How each person responds is a matter of free will and soul age, but no one right now can remain untouched by The Wave. No one can maintain their status quo.
The old is being swept away. If you are actively engaged in sweeping away the old patterns of thinking and feeling (or not feeling) in your inner life, the changes in your outer life may still be dramatic, but most likely not traumatic. If you are not choosing to wake up willingly, however, The Wave is serving as an alarm clock for you, sweeping away your outer structures to get you to look at your inner ones.
Folks, I am not trying to alarm you, not really. Events will do that. I am trying to alert you, trying to help translate the messages we are all getting right now. This is ultimately a wonderful time to be incarnated here on Earth, a time during which one can evolve greatly in no time at all compared to other times. Don't give in to fear or stay in frustration. Embrace change. Open your consciousness. Ride The Wave!

It's never too late, of course, but there are windows of opportunity that we collectively open up from time to time. That's what The Wave is. An opportunity to take the fast track to your highest joy and excitement and fulfillment, or to make a fast exit.
It's always up to you.
Good-bye, my old friend. Happy trails!

REPOST: WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO...?
Are there people in your life who are no longer in your life as significantly as they once were? People who you used to see or communicate with more frequently, but now only "touch base" with you occasionally, people who have seemed to drift out of your daily life? Or perhaps, there are individuals who have more abruptly disappeared from your sphere altogether due to a geographic change, marriage or divorce, birth of a child, career shift, health crisis or even death? And finally, are you finding yourself simply unable to tolerate certain people in your life who you once maintained obligatory relationships with - relatives, old friends, colleagues?
Well, if you've been working on yourself in a determined way in recent times, chances are your answer to any or all of the above is yes.
Some of my fellow travelers and I have been calling it the "Whatever happened to...?" syndrome, and it's part of the Wave I've been talking about since the beginning of this year.
The Wave is the surge of energy that's been sweeping across the planet for several years that is either moving people forward in their evolution at an accelerated rate, or slamming them hard into their resistances to change. One thing has been certain and obvious, though - in no instances is the Wave allowing anyone to remain in "neutral." Just look around. Another way of thinking about this is that we are all engaged in the process of deciding if we are staunchly remaining in 3rd-dimensional (dualistic, linear) reality, for now, or are we ready to shift to a 4th dimensional existence, that of knowing that we create reality from the inside out, no exceptions.
In conjunction with the Wave, I would also like to mention another concept, that of the "vortex."
Many who have pursued New Age spiritualism over the last few decades are familiar with this term as it applies to certain geographic locations on the earth - Sedona, Arizona, Machu Pichu, Peru, the Bermuda Triangle, etc. These are ancient "sacred" places where magnetic energy and cosmic forces have coalesced in such a way as to promote anything from personal growth and enlightenment to extraterrestrial visitations.
But something quite fascinating is occurring lately that heralds the acceleration that human beings have invited upon themselves - vortices are popping up everywhere!
More and more, whenever any number of individuals gather together for the purpose of opening themselves up to higher dimensions of being, a vortex supporting that elevation is created. This may indeed explain the sudden disappearances, as well as the sudden appearances of people in your lives.
If you could visualize a kind of sustained tornado, which is how I see a vortex, kind of like a funnel-shaped stream of powerful energy swirling clockwise, said vortex will either powerfully thrust someone out of its energy field, or just as powerfully attract someone in. The determining factor of whether one is thrust out or pulled into the vortex that you may be creating is how open the internal system of that individual is, along with whatever prior soul agreements may exist between you and said individual to come together at a certain place and time.
What does this imply for your day to day?
Well, first of all, if you are finding that your relationships, career direction, passions and other interests are shifting, you would be well-advised to open yourself to the possibility that the next phase of your journey may not include that person, job or activity, at least not in the same way you've been used to, rather than clinging to what is familiar. Holding onto that which you've outgrown can only have detrimental effects for all involved.
Also, if you truly desire something in your life, consider that the laborious, linear steps you've always thought were required to attain the fulfillment of that desire may not be necessary after all. Consider that if you make a shift in your consciousness, your life can change at the speed of thought!
And finally, folks, notice things!
We all have experiences that are out of the space-time continuum, but we superstitiously dismiss them out of irrational fear. Deja vu, premonitions and intuitive insights, vivid dreams or visions, coincidences that are so outside of the realm of statistical probability that they can't be coincidences... these are glimpses into 4th dimensional reality. Pay attention to those moments and you can expand them and became a more conscious creator of your life.
Or you can let the vortex fling you outta here!

The Zen of Body Surfing
Here's a little summertime lesson I once learned while body surfing in the Atlantic Ocean at the beach on Fire Island. I was deep into my self-work process at the time, trying to learn what letting go meant, and why it was important.
I've always loved body surfing, and all of my life, I always did it the same way - arms out, body stiff like a surfboard, jump into the breaking wave. As part of the game, sometimes I would get a smooth ride all the way into shore, and sometimes I would get slammed by the wave into the sand. I just accepted that was just the way it was. Random trashing. Just like life.
Then, one day, like the proverbial light bulb turning on in my head, I thought: What if instead of making my body rigid, I just totally relaxed and stayed soft? Hmm. I tried it. When the wave broke, I just eased into the curl and floated while I was carried all the way to shore. Wow! I tried it again. Same results. Again. The same. Over and over. It was infallible. Long, smooth rides all the time. I got it!
That was my message. To ride the waves (of the Atlantic and of life), one has to not be rigid and try to control the flow, but rather stay open and loose and let the wave take you. You'll get a smooth ride every time.
Okay, then... see you at the beach!

THE WAVE IS BACK! WOOOO!!
Here we go again! Yep. The next Wave is upon us, gathering its forces, surging across our lives, lifting us up or slamming us down, sometimes both, and yes, I mean something much larger than the snow storm we're having at the moment.
Last year, as 2010 began, we started seeing The Wave in our personal lives and in mass events. On the one hand, people experienced crises in their relationships, careers, health - more than a few left the planet, and some in rather precipitous ways - while others fell in love, experienced positive shifts in their work/creative lives, or experienced a new vitality in their bodies. And again, some experienced both the positive and the negative, sometimes even simultaneously.
En masse last year, the proverbial shit hit the fan in natural and man-made ecological disasters, in dramatic economic turmoil and in political debacles and scandals. The year ended with the spectacular revelations of Wikileaks, exposing corruption at every level of "official" society. At the same time, teen pregnancy in America sunk to its lowest level ever, with fewer people rushing into marriages or child-bearing, and President Barack Obama, despite the most extraordinary degree of obstruction ever by a recalcitrant right wing minority in the senate, still managed to get a legislative agenda passed that among other things, included a first-ever healthcare bill, tax cuts for working class people, the repeal of official discrimination against gays in the military and a treaty to halt the spread of nuclear weapons among the nations of the world.
Now, before 2011 has even begun, I am already hearing stories of sudden deaths, relationship break-ups or financial crises, coupled with splendid bursts of new love and creative expression and prosperity.
Each of us has a surf board, folks. We were born with it, so when these waves hit, these surges of energy that we've all collectively agreed to call forth at certain times in our linear history, we aren't left without the possibility of taking a great ride.
You gotta go for it, though, and do whatever it takes to open the window to your higher self. Or not. But like I said last year, there's no remaining neutral at a time like this.
The Wave is upon us.
Happy ridin'!

IT'S 2015 - WHICH WAVE ARE YOU?!
If you're still here, which you are if you're reading this, of course, then you are one of three waves of incarnate beings (i.e. - people) who are on Planet Earth right now to assist and participate in not only the greatest transition in the history of our planet, but in one of the greatest events in the history of the entire universe!
Congratulations!
Now, I've been writing a great deal over the last few years about this transition, and I've been telling people that what is happening - right here, right now - has never happened before. Earth, the planet, as a whole, has shifted its dimensional frequency. According to some sources, like Dolores Cannon, one of the foremost writers on these matters, this has never happened before in our universe.
"Never has an entire planet shifted its vibration into a new dimensional frequency. Many individual souls and groups of souls (like the Mayans, for example) have shifted in this way before, but never has an entire planet shifted all at once," according to Dolores.
In her book, The Three Waves of Volunteers and The New Earth, Dolores outlines who these volunteers are:
The First Wave: Now in their late 40s to early 60s, these volunteers cut the path, so to speak, working hard to increase awareness and raise consciousness, beginning in the 1960's. Much disturbed by the violence, anger and hate that they experienced on Earth half a century ago, this group had to be sturdy. Some from this generation had a hard time adjusting to life as a human being, and many of them even tried to commit suicide.
The Second Wave: Now in their late 20s to late 30s, these volunteers are more comfortable in bodies and are said to be beacons or channels of energy who can affect others just by being near them. Their mission of just sharing their energy with others means that they don’t have to do a great deal in terms of outer actions to be of service. Sometimes criticized as the "Me Generation," it is perhaps more accurate that they be called the "Be Generation."
The Third Wave: The new children, many of whom are now teenagers, have all the knowledge needed to exist on the planet after the dimensional shift and transformation takes place. Their DNA is more advanced, and the greatest challenge they face is being misunderstood by others, who often attempt to label them with fictitious conditions (like ADHD) and medicate them.
Here's more from Dolores:
"We’re moving away from the negativity of the Old Earth, and it’s going to be a complete turnaround, beyond belief, and we’re all going there now. The New Earth is where it’s at. We are living in the most important time in the history of the Universe, and it’s very important to be here now. There are thousands of souls who want to be here to experience this – even if they can just be here for a few hours. For some, even if they’re born and die right away, they can say, 'I was there when this occurred.' This is how important this is to the entire Universe."
Well, how cool is that?!
Thanks, Dolores!
"THE WAVE FOR OBAMA!"
That was actually the title of an article on Salon.com this week that talked about how events seem to be sweeping President Obama towards victory in next week's election.
As all FPL readers know, I have been talking and writing about The Wave for a couple of years now, and the phenomenon certainly is intensifying as we head down the home stretch of 2012, isn't it? Hurricane Sandy was just the latest manifestation, and it was a big one collectively, but there have been many less public storms in many people's lives, some wreaking havoc and even death, some bringing new levels of harmony, health and excitement.
As I watched the coverage on TV in the storm's aftermath, and saw our Democratic president and the Republican Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, no supporter of the president, getting so much positive attention for their dedicated, collaborative and timely work to assess the damage and begin the reparation process, I wondered: "Is The Wave coming to sweep Obama up for another term?" Is that our collective's intention?
You see, the difference between the point of view of the Salon article and the understanding written about here on FPL is that the implication in Salon's piece is that it is luck, a confluence of coincidences, some force outside of consciousness and intention that could bring Obama a second term, other than the direct voting process itself, which is much more of an effect than a cause of events.
On this blog, however, we know that consciousness and intention are everything, and so we know that humanity has collectively, even if not every one is aware of it consciously, decided that this moment "in time" is bringing forth a powerful shift forward in the human experience. This shift amounts to a raising of our vibrational frequency to a 4th dimensional level, a rise that is inevitable and irresistible. The Wave is fully in motion, and like a powerful storm, it will effect everything in its path. For some, this will be experienced as crisis and calamity. For others, it will represent an opportunity for a new beginning. For many, it will be both.
Surf's up, folks!

THE NON-VIOLENT SIDE OF THE WAVE AND THE IRREVOCABLE SHIFT TO 4D!!
I have written many blog posts over the last couple of years about what I've been calling "The Wave". I have on several occasions focused on the deadly side of The Wave, taking people into disastrous situations or even knocking them right off the planet.
Well, today, there was a front page banner headline on The Huffington Post proclaiming "THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT IN HISTORY!"
Wow! Really? The "most significant development in history?!" What is it?
Well, remarkably, it is that in spite of what the media and entertainment industry portray, hard statistics reveal dramatic, worldwide reductions in violence and violent deaths.
Hard to believe? Read on...
In one book, "The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined," prominent Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker writes: "Statistics reveal dramatic reductions in war deaths, family violence, racism, rape, murder and all sorts of mayhem. The decline of violence may be the most significant and least appreciated development in the history of our species."
Of course, as a mind-oriented academic, Pinker attributes the positive shift to an increase in human intelligence, pointing out that as measured on the IQ scale, an average child today would be "a near-genius a century ago. And that increase in intelligence translates into a kinder, gentler world," according to Pinker.
The logic Pinker employs here, though, is not only extraordinarily linear, it is also child-like. Simply because two things exist side-by-side in time doesn't mean there is a causal relationship between the two. That is behavioral psychology at its worst, but I'm not getting into that here.
What I would simply like to propose is that we consider that at whatever level of relative development one is, there is an acceleration going on, an irrevocable shift towards expanded consciousness, which is different that mere intelligence (after all, some very brilliant men, intellectually speaking, have devised some horrific weapons of mass destruction), and towards higher vibratory rates in humans as energy beings.
In other words, in spite of the political obstructionists and doomsayers, and the religious zealots ("baby souls" all), who long for war or "rapture" to fulfill their thirst for childish drama, we are in fact evolving as a species.
This shift has wreaked havoc in individual lives at times, yes, and invited natural and man-made disasters, yes-yes, but here, in these facts about the decline of violence, we see the positive side of The Wave. Whether it's taking us to a 4th Dimensional level of consciousness, or higher, or merely to a higher frequency of 3rd dimensional consciousness, we're all going.
Okay.
Happy Sunday!

FOUR WEEKS LEFT AND THE WAVE IS EVERYWHERE!
I wondered in an FPL post a few weeks ago, "THE WAVE FOR OBAMA," whether The Wave was in fact coming to sweep Obama up for another term? Today, we know the answer clearly was yes. Barack Obama, rather resoundingly, has been re-elected for a second term as President of the United States. But in terms of my main focus on this blog over the last few years - The Great Transition (Pathwork Guide Lecture #75) of humanity to 4th dimensional consciousness - what does this event mean?
From The Guide:
"Now comes a third major phase on this path.
As I've written on FPL, this current transitional time is a time of "non-optional choice." That might seem like an oxymoron, but let me explain.
The non-optional part is that you must make a choice, now. In other words, this is not a time where remaining in neutral is possible. The status quo must go. The optional part is what choice you make.
As has been written and talked about for a few thousand years, by soothsayers and metaphysically connected individuals, we collectively put in place a decision that in this age, at this time, and specifically centered around the calendar year, 2012, we would shift from 3D consciousness to 4D (You can read some FPL posts on 4D HERE).
The choices basically come down to this:
1. You may hunker down, hold on, and dig into 3D ideas and beliefs - like dualism and limitation - which means that your life will be what is referred to in the Book of Revelations as the "Tribulation." In other words, you will continue on in a struggling, battling, crisis-ridden way of life, in which obstacles, barriers and adversaries continue to plague your daily existence.
2. You may simply leave the planet, making your statement that you don't want to make the shift to 4D yet, but you don't want to suffer either. As FPL readers may recall, I posted the statistic a few weeks ago that more people died last year in the U.S. than in any year since we've been keeping the statistic. Revelations calls this the "Rapture." Yep. It's definitely one popular route right now, especially with younger souls.
3. You may do the self-work necessary to open your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual channels, embrace change and the unknown and move forward into 4D where you create your reality consciously in accordance with your highest excitement. This is the "Thousand Year Golden Age" described in Revelations.
I mean, this might seem like a no-brainer to you, but that most likely means you're on your way to doing whatever it takes to get on the 4D train. A good number of people right now, I can assure you, are going with options 1 or 2.
So, back to the election of 2012 - what does it mean? What are we collectively choosing?
Well, by re-electing one of the more mentally and emotionally balanced presidents we've had in decades in Barack Obama, it appears that we have decided to proceed forward without the most intense levels of a tribulation. In spite of those trying to paint him otherwise, Barack Obama is not an extreme figure politically, but rather a calm and confident "dog-whisperer"-type leader. He may not be particularly enlightened spiritually, not an "old soul," but rather, he is a "mature soul," and as such he can be a balance between the retrogressive and progressive forces in our country and in the world.
Regarding the Rapture, I sense that it will continue in force, if not through war and geopolitical conflict, then perhaps through what we think of as natural disasters and illness, etc. But rest assured, if leaving the planet is not your inner choice, you will be here and you will be fine... or not!
So, here we go, folks. There's now 6 weeks left to 2012, time to make your choice and get on the 4D train... or not. This particular moment "in time" represents the opening of a significant window in our continuum, a moment when there is a great deal of energy available to make the transition. But the 2012 train is heading out of the station, and it will not be as "easy" to catch The Wave soon. Can you eventually catch another train? Absolutely. Ultimately, every being must evolve and continue to raise their vibrational frequencies on their way to fully conscious oneness. Everyone "makes it," in other words. But how and when is always up to us. Again, as I've said before, there will eventually be another train of acceleration to get on at some point, and sooner or later, everyone is going to 4D and beyond. But if you're ready, willing and able, now would be a good time to leap!
All aboard!

"Now comes a third major phase on this path.
The transition from self-centered isolation to the state of union with all is the most essential step on the evolutionary path of an individual spirit entity."

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE "ONE BAD APPLE" DEFENSE?!
BRUSSELS — Belgium's longest serving bishop resigned Friday, expressing sorrow for having sexually abused a young boy both as a priest and after becoming a bishop in 1984.
BUIZINGEN, Belgium - Rik Deville, Retired Priest: I Told Church About Pedophile Bishop More Than 15 Years Ago.
Look, I'm not making this up. No one is making this up. Part of "The Wave" is that false spirituality masking monumental pomposity and egotistical seeking and abuse of power is now being exposed. That's just part of it, folks. That's just part of The Wave.
Read all of my posts about the dismantling of the Church by The Wave and read LOFF56's dismantling of RICK's flimsy attempt to invoke the bad apple defense of the Church here.

THE DEADLY SIDE OF THE WAVE, PART 5: WHITNEY!
"Why Whitney?"
Many people ask.
They ask because she was a great talent and her music enthralled millions around the world. She had a gift, and it feels like that gift was taken away ruthlessly.
Folks, I am not at all being insensitive here, but yes, talent is a gift, but that is all. It is an open window into the soul, into our Higher Self, but it does not provide an end run around the aspects of ourselves that need to be healed. Talent is not a cure. And yes, The Wave, that surge of energy that has been knocking people off the planet at an accelerated rate over the last two years, is ruthless!
But it is ruthless in both directions. During these last two years, many people have been healing and becoming more self-actualized faster and more powerfully than ever, just as others, steadfast in their resistance and illusions have been met with severe crisis more dramatically. (And rest assured, if you don't want to heal, the medical-pharmaceutical-insurance industry cabal is on your side!) And basically right now, there is no middle ground, no "neutral" to shift into
This isn't being done to us, though. We have called this energy forth for the transistions we want to make collectively and individually right now.
The Wave is upon us because we've asked it to be. As I've said many times before, you can get on your surfboard of self-work and enjoy the ride, or you can get slammed, but those are the only two choices.
You decide. We all do.

THE MOST PAINFUL ILLUSION!
At the end of 2012, a little over a year ago, I wrote a post entitled: "UPDATE ON THE WAVE!" In that post, I began with a headline from the news that proclaimed that in the previous year, deaths surpassed 2.5 million in the U.S. for the first time since records have been kept on such matters.
Here is an excerpt:
"The Wave that I've been writing about regularly for the last two years is in full force and still accelerating as we head down the home stretch of 2012. What is The Wave? It is the surge of energy that has been sweeping change across the planet more and more, brought about by a collective intention that has been in place for quite a long time, as we think of it, to make the great transition (as the Pathwork Guide lecture refers to it) from a 3rd dimensional level of consciousness to 4th and then 5th dimensional consciousness. In other words, from the deeper levels of our being, we have all agreed to change the "game" we've been playing for much of what we think of as our history, and now play a new game, one in which we awaken more fully to who and what we really are. In this game, we become conscious creators of our reality, rather than the unconscious creators we've been up until now."
And this is from recent news:
"The German insurance company, Munich Re, said some 20,000 people died from natural disasters last year, about twice as many as in 2012."
What's going on? And why I am writing about this? Not to alarm anyone. Actually, quite the opposite.
Now, let's make this point, folks: everything is energy, and energy is everything, and energy is never annihilated. Physicists have understood this for a long time. Metaphysicians have understood this even longer. No one, or no thing, ever truly dies. Death, as we've thought of it in 3D linear dualistic consciousness, was just a construct in the game we were playing. In Reality (with a capital "R") our consciousness merely transitions in and out of physical form in what we've thought of as the birth and death cycle.
So, while many of us have collectively agreed to stop playing the (very) old 3D game, lifting the veil of unconsciousness, many others are choosing the option of "going home," rather than playing the new game in 5D, here on 5D Earth.
It's okay, though. Really. Nothing ever truly dies and it's all just a game. Does that mean we shouldn't have feelings of sadness when we experience "loss?" Of course not. Feelings are an intrinsic part of the human experience.
This is a parable I heard once that I love:
A Zen Master was grieving for his young son that died. When the Master's followers saw him crying, they were confused.
"Master, why are you crying? You have taught us that death is an illusion."
"Yes," the Master replied, "death is an illusion, and the loss of a son is one of the most painful illusions of all."

"The German insurance company, Munich Re, said some 20,000 people died from natural disasters last year, about twice as many as in 2012."
