MORE ON "THE PLACEBO EFFECT IS REAL!" (HINT: IT STILL IS!)

Watch THIS... and read THIS - "Man Who Wasn't Expected To Walk Is Now An Accomplished Athlete," - then read or reread the FPL post below.

Key line from the above story: "His doctors did not see a good future for him."

Way to go, Doc!

Read on -

Many people have heard of the "placebo effect," and even mainstream medical professionals and scientists have long known of the reality that patients given an ineffective treatment often improve anyway, simply because they expected to get better. About half of American doctors in a new survey say they regularly give unwitting patients placebo treatments - substance-free pills and fake pseudo-surgery procedures -  that shouldn't technically help their condition, but in fact do help.

Okay, stop, breathe and listen to it again: patients given a fake or ineffective treatment often improve anyway, simply because they expect to get better.

This is one of the truths about everything that changes everything. Right? I mean, it's really the most simple deductive reasoning. If a person's belief in something - a water pill, fake surgery, praying, whatever, or simply believing in a particular doctor's ability to heal you - can actually cause cells and molecules to rearrange themselves, then we have hard evidence that we create our reality from our beliefs.

Okay... so we must be rapidly switching over from the mechanistic slash, burn and drug approach that health professionals have been using for centuries to a system in which doctors and nurses are trained to work with their patients' beliefs instead, yes?

No. Or at least, not yet. Why not?

Well, partly because the scam of drugs, surgery and radiation is big business and people in those businesses make big bucks off of the many young and baby souls who want to be taken care of by an all-powerful father figure, no matter how abusive or exploitive in reality said big daddy's are.

Secondly, the name of the 3D game we've been playing for millennia here on Earth is: "Shit Happens!" And it's actually quite a "fun" game. You see, in the Shit Happens Game, we never know what's going to occur because we're unconscious of the fact that we're creating our experiences in every moment. On top of which, we have amnesia about our own eternal nature. So, everything we experience is a big and, very often, scary surprise.

"Oh, what do you know? I just inherited a million dollars!" Or... "Wow, the person I have a crush on has a crush on me, too!" Or... "I can't believe my husband cheated on me!" "Oh shit! I just got fired from my job!" "What? I have cancer? How could that be?!"

And so on. One slammin' surprise after another, sometimes happy ones, sometimes not so much, but what a ride! Yeah, life in 3D beats Space Mountain at Disneyworld hands down. Of course, Space Mountain is a perfect representation of 3rd dimensional consciousness - who knows if that roller coaster is going to go off the rails this time or not?! Woohoo!!

So, yes, the placebo effect is real. We create our health or dis-ease from our beliefs. And yes, you could become a conscious creator of the events in your life, knowingly deciding and manifesting what you would like to experience each moment of each day. But, you say, what would be the excitement or the challenge in that? Conflict, obstacles, adversaries... overcoming these on a constant basis is what gets us going, right?

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready to experience the challenge of deciding in each moment of health and vitality what I would like to create, what I would like to enjoy, what new pleasure I would like to be stimulated by, what new information I'd like to download from the galactic consciousness. I'd like to keep pushing the boundaries of beauty, music, sexuality, abundance and wisdom.

I've been to Space Mountain, folks. Helluva ride, but you know... been there done that. Threw up. Now, I'm taking the 5D challenge, and instead of seeing how many drops and curves I can handle, I'm checking out how much bliss, joy and pleasure I can tolerate.

THE PLACEBO EFFECT: THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS MEANS!

About half of American doctors in a new survey in the British Medical Journal say they regularly give patients placebo treatments - usually drugs or vitamins that won't really help their condition. And many of these doctors are not honest with their patients about what they are doing, the survey found. Scientists have long known of the "placebo effect," in which patients given a fake or ineffective treatment often improve anyway, simply because they expected to get better.

Okay, stop, breath and listen to it again: patients given a fake or ineffective treatment often improve anyway, simply because they expected to get better.

I taught about the placebo effect in my classes on creating reality and on health. This is one of those things, you see, where if it's true at all (and it's been a known medical fact for decades), it changes everything. It's your beliefs that determine your health. It's not the application of any particular treatments by a doctor, but rather your belief in the treatments that heals you. The medical establishment has been making billions of dollars doing things that only work if you believe they will. This is not New Age mumbo jumbo - every medical doctor knows this. It's been taught in medical schools since the 1950's! GET IT?! Modern western medicine is an elaborate hoax, mainly offering useless or toxic drugs and procedures that cost a fortune, when it is in fact nothing more than hypnotic suggestions that actually make you well.

Here's an excerpt from an amazing MUST READ BOOK by Jane Roberts (channeling "SETH"), called, "THE WAY TOWARDS HEALTH:"

“Your health is an extension of your creativity. Your body is an artistic creation, formed and constantly maintained at unconscious levels, but quite in line with your beliefs about what and who you are. The miraculous constant translation of spirit into flesh is carried on with inexhaustible energy by the inner portions of being, but in all cases the inner self looks to the conscious mind for its assessment of the body’s condition and reality, and forms the image in line with the conscious mind’s beliefs. So - once more - you form reality through your beliefs, and your most intimate production is your physical body."

Perhaps you might want to think about what you believe in before you shell out more money for your high blood pressure meds or Viagra?

THE "NOCEBO" EFFECT?!

You really have to laugh at the medical establishment and the scientific community. When it comes to foot-dragging on making obvious conclusions (they call it a need for "further study"), these folks are the champs.

Here's an excerpt from a piece on how pessimism can effect healing that "isn't nearly as well studied," according to its author, as the placebo effect, which scientists "already know is real."

Really?!

"Pessimism can override the effectiveness of even powerful treatments. You've heard of the placebo effect, the healing power of positive belief. This is the 'nocebo' effect, the flip side, almost its evil twin. And while the self-fulfilling prophecy of negative thinking isn't nearly as well studied, some scientists say it's time for doctors to start paying a lot more attention to their patients' outlook. 'We all know that many treatments work for some people but not for others,' says neuroscientist Dr. Randy Gollub of Massachusetts General Hospital. Scientists already know the placebo effect is real. They can measure it in studies that compare real drugs to dummy pills, where those given the fakes have noticeable improvements to pain and other symptoms."

HERE'S a link to an FPL piece on the placebo effect.

Come on, Doc. You're catching up.

A TRUE STORY: FOLLOW-UP TO THE PLACEBO EFFECT

Las week, I posted a piece about the placebo effect and how it's very existence turns the tenants of western medicine on their corrupt, cash-driven heads. Well, here's a true story from my early days as a clinical social worker.

It was the late 1970's, and I was assigned the case of "Erina," a 6-year old girl living in the foster home of a very lovely, elderly couple. Erina had been diagnosed as epileptic and "mildly retarded," not a politically incorrect label at the time. She was being prescribed Dilantin on a daily basis for her epileptic seizures, and was enrolled in a special elementary school for children with what they called "minimal brain dysfunction" back then. Erina's medication dosage was due to be increased because she was still having seizures.

Shortly after I got the case, I made a home visit, and witnessed one of Erina's "seizures." Something wasn't right. I'd seen epileptic seizures before, and by comparison, Erina's looked very controlled, almost contrived. I asked the foster parents if Erina had ever bitten her tongue or banged her head, etc., while in the throws of the seizures. "No," was their unqualified response.

I did a little research, digging up the older case record from the city agency that referred Erina to our foster care agency. (The old file was literally in the basement of the agency's building.) What I read was a horrific story of severe child abuse during Erina's infancy and toddler years - burns, laceration in her vagina... enough said. My wheels were turning. What if Erina was suffering from emotional and mental trauma, not epilepsy and retardation.

Fortunately, I had a very open-minded supervisor at the time, and when I asked him if we could conduct an experiment, based on my intuition and the findings in the old case file, he agreed to advocate for me. We somehow managed to convince the skeptical consulting psychiatrist on Erina's case to substitute a placebo for the Dilantin, and to allow me to do play therapy with the girl for a while.

Cut to the end of the story - within a year's time, Erina was no longer having "seizures," and she was performing quite well in a mainstream public elementary school, her diagnoses of retardation and epilepsy ultimately removed.

Three decades later, I still think of Erina every time I hear or read something about the placebo effect. It's odd how that phrase makes it seem so much like an odd occurrence, an anomaly, but it's not. We create our reality, including our health, from our beliefs. "Patients" respond to their own inner beliefs and the beliefs of their guardians and authority figures - i.e. - parents, doctors and teachers. In Erina's case, a belief in her illness was replaced by a belief in her health, and so, she healed.

End of story.

"Sweet Curiosity" comments on PL's post: "THE SUN PREVENTS CANCER! OR WHY I HAVEN'T LISTENED..."/PL RESPONDS!

Here's SC:

Peter,
I can't possibly agree with you more. I was told by a doctor that I had skin cancer, when in fact I dont believe I had it at all. I avoid doctors like the plague. I feel they push antibiotics I'm allergic to, and want to run tests I don't need, when I feel like a perfectly normal 36 year old. Any tips on finding a holistic non-chiropractic doctor would be much appreciated.

Here's PL:

It goes on and on, Sweet C. Think about this - the placebo effect, which I've written about before, is a known fact to all doctors. (Go HERE).

I taught about the placebo effect in my classes on creating reality and on health. This is one of those things, you see, where if it's true at all (and it's been a known medical fact for decades), it changes everything. It's your beliefs that determine your health. Modern western medicine is an elaborate hoax, mainly offering useless or toxic drugs and procedures that cost a fortune, when it is in fact nothing more than hypnotic suggestions that actually make you well, if and when you get well.

Furthermore, think about this - if the drugs doctors and Big Pharma gave you actually cured any disease, they would be a lot less profitable. So, there has to be a concerted effort to make drugs that only offer temporary symptom relief, otherwise... no enormous profits.

It goes on and on.

Thanks, Sweet Curiosity. And in terms of finding a holistic practitioner, trust your intuition, set your intention and put it out there that you want to find such a person and he or she will come.

BEYOND PERMISSION SLIPS!

"All objects, all tools, all rituals, all techniques are 'permission slips' you attract yourself to because they are representative of something within your belief system that says that if you use this tool, ritual, or technique you will then be more likely to allow yourself to give yourself permission to be more of who you are."

Okay, what exactly is Bashar talking about here?

Well, it's nothing more or less than what every teacher of higher consciousness or any quantum physicist would say. It's directly related to what the placebo effect demonstrates, which even mainstream medical practitioners know is real (Read more on that HERE).

In his own inimitable way, Bashar is reiterating the truth that matter is directed into form by consciousness. This is not theory, opinion or belief. This is demonstrable - through science, through experience, through unbiased observation.

Matter is directed into form by consciousness.

However, here's the caveat... for us. Since we played the 3D game for so long, a game which had rules that led us to forget all of the above, and who we truly are, for the most part, we needed external devices - permission slips - to allow ourselves to transform energy into form without thinking that we were really doing so.

So, we take drugs, have surgery, radiate ourselves, or we eat certain foods, exercise, do cleanses, meditate, read books, go to therapy... whatever... all with the idea of creating a certain effect in our mind-body-spirit gestalt. Likewise, we work at a jobs, and get degrees or specialized training to obtain said jobs, in order to survive or manifest abundance in our material lives.

But what experiments on the placebo effect have shown is that whether you are ingesting chemicals or simply water in a pill, whether you're having actual or fake surgery, if you believe said pill or surgery is going to heal you, it will. Likewise, what people’s experiences have shown them is that when we let go of control, and trust in the flow of life, things work out for our greater good, often with ease. In other words, life is full of permission slips to activate your beliefs in a preferred way.

We conditioned ourselves in 3D to call these things mysteries, coincidences, luck, etc. Now, in 5D, more and more people are coming to understand one of the basic tenants of human existence, which is we create our reality from our intentions at various levels of consciousness. In the transition period, however, we are still temporarily relying on beliefs and permission slips, even though they now may be of a higher vibration.

As the veil of limitation lifts, we will have more experiences of a synchronistic nature that will be akin to practicing creating our reality directly, without a permission slip, and out of the strict linear time continuum.

Here’s a personal example...

For 20 years, I have been using the permission slip of doing periodic cleanses, as per the formulae and regimens of master herbalist, Richard Schulze. My belief in his programs and products was strong, and the results I always experienced were extremely positive. I would feel vibrant, clear, energized, within days, and my face and skin glowed as if I’d been on vacation at the beach somewhere.

But… here’s what began occurring a few years ago. I would start feeling vibrant, and start glowing before I began the cleanse. In other words, I was showing myself that simply setting the intention to cleanse my body made it happen. No herbs, no juicing, no hot and cold showers. Just focusing my consciousness. Just a clear intention in my mind, and the anticipation emotionally of feeling good in my body, made it so.

So, to summarize... start with recognizing, without judgment, that virtually everything you use in your life to create an effect that you desire is a permission slip. Then, again without judgment, allow yourself through relaxed intention and elevated emotions, to create what you desire without a permission slip.

Try it. Go direct. Conscious intention to instant manifestation. That’s what we’re up to, folks. That’s 5D.

MORE ON THE PLACEBO EFFECT: THE LIE OF ANTIDEPRESSANTS!

Well-known psychologist, Irving Kirsch, P.h.D, featured on "60 Minutes" earlier this year, wrote an important book entitled "Antidepressants: The Emperor's New Drugs?"

I've written about this subject (HERE and HERE), taught about it, and even featured it in the first of my podcasts, "CREATING REALITY," on the right side of the FPL blog.

Why so much attention? Because what the placebo effect demonstrates irrefutably, and even doctors acknowledge the existence of it, is that our beliefs create our reality.

Our beliefs create our reality!

This lays so much bare in our daily living and in our social structure, doesn't it? It mean that first and foremost, to lead happier healthier lives, we should be working to uncover and address our inner beliefs. In other words, a full spectrum self-work process that helps do that would work wonders for our well-being, yet, mainstream medicine, pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies not only ignore the evidence, they eschew it, hide it, because... in their current paradigm... it's not profitable!

But it could be. Psychiatrists and other medical professionals could retool and learn how to work with patients inner lives, and have greater success. Oh, but wait, that would require that said practitioners do some serious self-work on their own inner lives, and that's no where near as gratifying (for the ego of a psychopathic character structure) as writing a prescription for drugs.

Right.

Well, that leaves you, then, dear FPL readers - you have to take charge of your own healing and seek out the guidance you need to uncover your beliefs, connect to your feelings and go on to have a great life. It's actually not just easier than taking drugs, but it actually works.

EVERYTHING IS WHAT YOU SAY IT IS!

Over recent years, I've posted information that linked to studies and articles indicating that ample exposure to the sun, taking frequent naps, eating beans and bacon regularly, drinking alcohol and coffee moderately, and having plenty of orgasmic sex were all good for your health and longevity.

Much of this information runs counter to "conventional wisdom" (an oxymoron, in and of itself), but that's not exactly my point here. My point, posed as a question is - what do bacon and sunshine, beans and sex, drinking and napping have in common that make then beneficial to our well-being?

The answer is... nothing. That's right. Nothing. Sort of.

Okay, so let me explain.

Consciousness creates everything, and everything is made from the same particles and waves of energy. Quantum physicists have known this for decades. Mystics have known it for millennia. So, essentially, the bacon and beans you're eating, or the couch you're sitting on, or the Uber car you're riding in, or the hair on your head are all made of the same stuff, and that stuff is given form and "meaning" according to the dictates of your consciousness. At the physical level, that means your thoughts and beliefs, and the emotions they stimulate you to feel, create your reality. (As Dr. Joe Dispenza puts it: "Thoughts are electric and emotions are magnetic," and together, they form physical matter.)

Therefore, what you eat, what you have, what you do affects you positively or negatively only in accordance with your beliefs and feelings about what you eat, what you have, and what you do. It's another variation on the "placebo effect," which I've written about extensively on this blog, or what "Bashar" refers to as "permission slips."

In other words, if you believe that something is good for you, (truly believe, by the way, not ambivalently believe) then it will be good for you. So, the "magic" is not in the bacon or naps, but in you, in your thoughts.

Get it?

Okay, well, there's one caveat - some things are created from negative intentions and/or fear. Processed foods, most drugs, inhumanely raised animals for consumption, weapons, etc., are all created for the purposes of greed and wanton material gain, without empathy or conscience, often laced with paranoia. Therefore, since we're all part of a collective consciousness, you will be effected negatively by these things if you blindly consume or use them without first transforming their negatively charged particles with healing thoughts and a focus which, frankly, takes a lot of energy. That is why most conscious people in these days of ascension prefer to eat organic, fresh and humanely raised food, prefer not to have assault rifles in their homes, or take the prescription drugs offered by doctors and drug companies. It takes too much work to reverse their low-vibrating energy fields. Better, and easier, to buy, own, and consume things made consciously with love and light.

So, be it bacon or beans, coffee or bourbon, naps or sex, everything is what you say it is, folks. Everything.

So, off I go to have another espresso.

Have a great day!

IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN? NOT!

THIS is a beauty to go along with the other two posts I put up recently on the placebo effect and Prince the dog.

Chase Britton was born prematurely and doctors were prepared to diagnose him with cerebral palsy. When they tested him, they said he had the MRI results "of a vegetable." No kidding. They said it. Why? Because Chase had no cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls motor skills, balance and emotions!

But Chase is no veggie, folks. He eventually managed to sit up on his own, something he shouldn't have been able to do without a cerebellum to provide balance. Next he learned to crawl, first dragging himself military-style, then pushing himself upright. Now, he's learning to walk.

"He keeps going," his mom said. "He keeps picking up new things and progressing. We call it, 'Chase pace.'"

In the fall, Chase started going to a specialized preschool near his New York home three days a week.

"I'm in awe of him every day," Sharon Schultz, his teacher at CHC Learning Center in Williamsville, N.Y., told WGRZ.

"Things that, based on that diagnosis, he should not be able to do, he is doing. I mean, walking up and down the hall, riding a bike, holding a pencil or a pen to work on projects, using scissors."

Chase also loves to play on his Ipad with doting brother Alex.

"The doctors didn't know what to say to us," Chase's mother said in a telephone interview. "No one had ever seen it before. And then we'd go to the neurologists and they'd say, 'That's impossible.' 'He has the MRI of a vegetable,' one of the doctors said to us."

Chase has left doctors bewildered and experts rethinking what they thought they knew about the human brain.

LOL! You gotta love the experts!!

You think the doctors might want to consider that the mind is actually not located in the brain?

MARIANNE WILLIAMSON ON THE SPIRITUAL RENAISSANCE/REVIEW OF FPL BOOK!

This beautiful passage is from an interview in the latest issue of Spirituality & Health Magazine (Said issue is also currently hosting a review of my book, Full Permission Living here: https://spiritualityhealth.com/gift…/2018-holiday-gift-guide)

Here's Marianne Williamson:

"The spiritual renaissance can never be monopolized by any particular corner of the world, or any group or any religion, because it emerges from deep within the human heart. It’s the evolutionary impulse of our age. It’s a global and universal phenomenon. This Renaissance is real and it has not stopped; it’s just that it’s growth and, like all growth, it’s messy. I think it’s actually a sign of how successful and powerful it is that the forces of separateness and fear are putting up such resistance.
"Love brings up everything unlike itself, not only in our individual lives, but in the collective.
"We are living through what appears to be the death throes of an old paradigm. One world is passing away, and it’s completely up to us what world will be born now. The contest has begun, struggle has ensued, and the choice is ours: Which direction will humanity take from here?"

Here's the review of Full Permission Living:

Peter Loffredo’s book Full Permission Living is an interesting account of the journey from 3rd to 5th dimensional consciousness. From the preface: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that linear time, impenetrable matter, separation, limitation, aging, illness, and death are all illusions, that there are no coincidences, only synchronicities, that you create your own reality from your beliefs, that you exist, you always have and you always will, we are all one…” He goes on to say that love is the basis of “All That Is” and every line of reality you can imagine exists.

This play on the Declaration of Independence summarizes the book’s sentiment throughout. FPL is a guide book for self-improvement great for anybody in a therapist role working with clients, but it is also great for those individuals who are seekers. If you want to change towards happiness, this book will help you do so. But you have to work at it.

Written from the perspective of a psychotherapist, this book delves into aspects of psychology that might appeal to the individual learner. He discusses five character structures: schizoid, oral, masochistic, psychopathic, and rigid, and their psychological functions and therapeutic approaches along with more interesting information. If you like learning about psychology, and definitely different perspectives on it, give this book a read.

Among the different topics of the book is a part of the book called “The Run Up to 5D.” Loffredo gives us an analogy of a plane taking off to describe the third, fourth, and fifth dimensions. The plane sitting there before it takes off is the third dimension, but when the plane starts moving really fast just before take-off, that is the run-up to 5D or the fourth dimension. The fifth dimension is the plane flying in the air, where we will reach full consciousness.

Loffredo on 5D: “Spontaneous remission of illness? Miraculous healing of a disease overnight? Regrowth of tissue and limbs? No longer even experiencing illness or disease or dismemberment in the first place?...” He goes on: “This is not fantasy, folks. This is the way that many, many entities, races and species, humanoid and not, in physical form and not, already live throughout our galaxy and the universe.”

With topics such as character structures, gut feelings, and the placebo effect, this will appeal to the learner. With topics devoted to consciousness and the fifth dimension, the spiritual seeker will definitely also learn from this book. In addition, the psychotherapist can learn about Loffredo’s approach to breaking character structures and finding happiness and consciousness.

REPOST: IT'S IN THE BLOOD!

"The day may yet arise when one may take a drop of blood and diagnose the condition of the entire human body."
Edgar Cayce

I was shown an amazing video yesterday of an interview with one Harvey Bigelson, MD, on the "Conscious Media Network," part of Gaiam TV. Dr. Bigelson, a pioneer in homeopathic medicine, discovered that if you examine live blood cells under what is called a "dark field microscope," you will see holographic images relevant to the current health condition of the person.

OK. What are you talking about, PL?

I will try and explain this as simply as possible.

First of all, it turns out that blood tests, as they are usually done, are not of live blood cells. Huh? That's right. The blood cells in samples taken from patients in traditional blood tests are dead when they are examined. This is so for two reasons: 1. the cells are not viewed immediately; and 2. the cells are injected with stains and dyes before they are viewed. So, what you get back from a common blood test is similar to an autopsy. You get chemical composition and cell counts, but no live picture of how the blood and body are functioning in real time.

What Dr. B discovered by immediately looking at blood samples under a dark field microscope with a special lens that doesn't require any staining process, the pictures in our blood show very different results... to say the least! In fact, there are actually pictures, or more accurately, "crystalized holographic images."

In other words, contained in our blood cells are 3-dimensional images of what's going on in our bodies that we need to know. So, for example, a live blood sample of a pregnant women contains a holographic image of the growing fetus that exactly matches the images taken through a sonogram. Likewise, everything from a broken bone or a tape worm to a dental implant will show up in these images if they are creating an imbalance in the body.

Take a breath. Now, think about it. This is one of those game-changers.

Everything is composed of energy and energy is directed by consciousness. And just as the whole contains everything, every little bit of everything also contains the whole. This has been known and demonstrated for a number of years through holography, which is a type of photography that uses lasers to create a holographic image, or hologram. What has been remarkably demonstrated through this method is that you can cut off any corner or bit of a hologram and using lasers, or a dark field microscope, see the entire image.

Now, take another breath because the next piece of information from Dr. B might seem off the charts.

In some cases, Bigelson found images in the blood of an event in the patients body that hadn't happened yet! In the Gaiam video, Dr. B showed a female patient's live blood sample that had an image of a fractured femur bone, exactly matching the X-Ray of the broken femur in the patient from an accident which happened subsequent to the examination. So, not only does the smallest part of us know what is happening to us, what we are creating, each cell of our body even registers what we are intending for ourselves.

I have been saying to people for a while now that intention is everything. Everything that we create, everything that occurs within us and around us starts with an intention. And guess what? The body knows it. I have had the experience, for example, of deciding to start a cleanse on a Sunday, and beginning to show the effects of the cleanse on Saturday! A day ahead of the physical action.

As I wrote in my Truth About Everything post, "The Placebo Effect is Real," when you understand that consciousness directs everything, it changes everything. Or at least it should.

Thank you Dr. Harvey Bigelson, and thank you to my partner, who in her tireless quest for higher knowledge, brought me this information.
