Interesting. Rush bears no small resemblence to my father, who does happen to have a bloated ego (I've wondered if he's a narcissist, actually), a compulsive liar, and a bully. And while as far as I know my father has never had a drug or alcohol addiction, I suspect that he may be a gambling addict. Does that count?
Mind you, this has very little to do with Rush. I just found it interesting that my abusive father has much in common with Rush.
